One more hand was to be finished on the outer tables and that one brought a battle of the blinds between Mitchell Halverson and Ehsan Amiri. The former check-called a bet by Amiri on the turn and checked again the on the river.
Amiri bet 125,000 with around 350,000 behind and Halverson used one time bank before check-raising, splashing in nine T-100,000 chips. Amiri was somewhat stunned for a few seconds and eventually called it off.
Halverson revealed the for flopped middle pair that went runner runner to a flush, which beat the for two pair by Amiri. The Aussie bowed out prior to the three table redraw and locked up a pay jump for the final 23 contenders.
