Across four Day 1 flights and exactly the same number of Day 2 excursions, 28,371 entries have been played in relays over the past few days here in Las Vegas, filling nearly every room in the Rio All-Suite Hotel & Casino. Today, with just 1,597 players remaining, everyone has come together in Event #3: $500 BIG 50 as all the remaining players are united into one tournament field for Day 3.
Once cards get in the air, there will be 12 levels, each lasting 50-minutes separating them from continuing on their journey to potential WSOP glory.
The current chip leader is Jerald Williamson who came through Day 2b with 4,105,000 chips to his name. He is the only player over the four million mark, with the likes of Saya Ono (3,810,000), bracelet-winner Benjamin Dobson (3,560,000) and Mikhail Vilkov (3,475,000) hot on his heels.
There are also many notables still left in the field, including Chris Ferguson, Alex Lynskey, Tony Miles, Loni Harwood, Matt Glantz and Alex Foxen, so there will be no shortage of action today.
Stay tuned to PokerNews as we bring you all the updates, confirm the remaining payouts, and keep you up to date with all the action from the floor here at the 2019 World Series of Poker.
