Zvi Stern chipleader, Ivan Deyra & Imad Derwiche en course à 12 left

Niveau 21 : 10,000/20,000, 3,000 ante
Ofer Zvi Stern
Ofer Zvi Stern

Byron Kaverman

[Removed:2] made it 45,000, then called it off when Byron Kaverman shoved for 240,000.

Kaverman's tournament life was riding on the {k-Spades}{k-Hearts} against Maksoud's {a-Clubs}{5-Clubs}. The {q-Clubs}{3-Hearts}{5-Spades} flop gave Maksoud a pair, the {j-Clubs} turn gave him a flush draw to go with it, and the {6-Clubs} river completed it to rail Kaverman 13th.

Negreanu Gets Flushed by Papazian

Niveau 20 : 8,000/16,000, 2,000 ante
Daniel Negreanu
Daniel Negreanu

The hand started with a limp by Alexandru Papazian and Daniel Negreanu then made it 46,000 to go from the button. Zvi Stern called and Papazian also filled up. On the {Q-Diamonds}{6-Hearts}{4-Diamonds} flop, Stern and Papazian both checked and Negreanu bet 65,000. Stern flat-called before Papazian check-raised to 190,000.

Negreanu shoved for 391,000 and Stern folded whereas Papazian quickly called.

Negreanu: {A-Diamonds}{Q-Clubs}
Papazian: {8-Diamonds}{7-Diamonds}

"You want this," the PokerStars Team Pro said and grabbed his ace of diamonds. Sure enough the dealer burned and turned the {5-Diamonds} to give Papazian a flush, but Negreanu still had outs with any diamond except for the six. A blank {8-Hearts} river sent Negreanu to the rail in 15th place and the tournament loses one of the biggest names on the last two tables.

Niall Farrell

Down to around 200,000 chips, Niall Farrell shoved and found someone willing to look him up from one seat over in Anthony Zinno. Everyone else got out of the way and the EPT12 Malta champion from Glasgow was at risk of elimination.

Farrell: {4-Diamonds}{4-Hearts}
Zinno: {8-Clubs}{8-Diamonds}

The board came {10-Clubs}{5-Diamonds}{2-Spades}{2-Hearts}{Q-Hearts} and that sent Farrell to the rail in 20th place.

Min-Cash for O'Dwyer

Niveau 18 : 5,000/10,000, 1,000 ante
Steve O'Dwyer
Steve O'Dwyer

Steve O'Dwyer moved all in for 85,000 from early position and Julian Stuer flat-called from one seat over, the rest of the table folded.

O'Dwyer held {Q-Spades}{J-Hearts} and was trailing the {A-Diamonds}{K-Spades} of Stuer, who immediately paired his ace on the {A-Hearts}{10-Spades}{3-Spades} flop. Neither the {7-Diamonds} turn nor {J-Diamonds} river changed the outcome of the hand and O'Dwyer exited in 31st place, adding more points for the Player of the Year ranking.

Ami Barer Bubbles the High Roller

Ami Barer

From the cutoff, Ami Barer moved all in for 84,000 chips and the action folded around to Julian Stuer in the big blind. The German called and once all other tables were finished, the showdown proceeded.

Barer: {10-Diamonds}{10-Hearts}
Stuer: {A-Diamonds}{Q-Diamonds}

Neither the {J-Hearts}{6-Spades}{5-Clubs} flop nor the {8-Clubs} turn changed anything, but the {A-Clubs} river let the bubble burst and Barer had to leave empty-handed.

Martin Jacobson - Imad Derwiche fist bump after Jacobson's elimination

2014 World Series of Poker Main Event winner Martin Jacobson open-shoved for 103,000 and Imad Derwiche called from the button.

It was the {a-Spades}{9-Diamonds} for Jacobson in a race versus Derwiche's {7-Clubs}{7-Hearts} and Jacobson bubbled the bubble when he whiffed the {k-Spades}{q-Diamonds}{4-Clubs}{2-Diamonds}{j-Diamonds} board.

The rest of the field is on the stone bubble now with 32 remaining.

Mikita Badziakouski opened to 10,000 from early position and Yang Wang clicked it up to 24,500 from the big blind before calling a four-bet to 60,000 by Badziakouski. Both checked the flop {Q-Diamonds}{6-Clubs}{5-Diamonds} before Wang check-called a bet worth 60,000 on the {9-Hearts} turn.

The {8-Clubs} river completed the board and Wang checked, Badziakouski shoved and Wang called with {6-Spades}{7-Hearts}. Badziakouski had that beat with {J-Hearts}{10-Spades} and his opponent covered to rake in the monster pot, skyrocketing into the lead.

Stern Busts Neumann and Johnson

Niveau 12 : 1,200/2,400, 300 ante
Ofer Zvi Stern
Ofer Zvi Stern

The action started with a raise to 4,800 by Zvi Stern and the November Niner found three callers in Keith Johnson, David Dayan and Quan Zhou. In the small blind, Marko Neumann moved all in for 34,700 and Stern flat-called only to see Johnson then move in as well for around 65,000. Stern called and put the two short stacks at risk once Dayan and Zhou had folded.

Neumann: {A-Diamonds}{J-Diamonds}
Johnson: {A-Clubs}{A-Spades}
Stern: {Q-Hearts}{Q-Diamonds}

"Oh, that's slightly difficult, diamonds please," Neumann said. Instead, the flop came {Q-Spades}{J-Clubs}{5-Clubs} and Johnson stood up from his chair ready to leave. Neither the {4-Diamonds} turn nor the {J-Spades} river changed anything and Stern soared up to more than half a million.
