Event #37: $1,050 Bounty Pot Limit Omaha
Jour 1 a débuté
The World Series of Poker on GGNetwork continues today with Event #37: $1,050 Bounty Pot Limit Omaha.
This is the second Omaha event on the schedule. The first was won by Finnish legend Juha Helppi. That drew 328 runners for a $5,000 price point. Event #37 currently has about 125 players registered with start time still about 40 minutes away and three hours of late registration on tap.
As far as logistics go, this will be a one-day tournament with six-handed tables, a staple of PLO on GGNetwork. Players start with 25,000 in their stacks at 125/250 and progress through 15-minute levels, with a break at five till the hour, every hour. Each player may reenter up to twice should he or she run dry on chips.
Perhaps of most import, play will be in the progressive knockout (PKO) format. Half of each buy-in goes to the bounty pool, and half of that bounty is awarded to the eliminating player, with the other half being added to that player's bounty. Therefore, some pretty hefty sums are available even for players who don't make the top few prize slots, should they score enough eliminations of high-value bounties.
Virtual cards begin flying at 1 p.m. EDT. Players registered for the event already include Felipe Ramos, Pete Chen, Dario Alioto, George Wolff, Joao Vieira, Martin Zamani, Manig Loeser and Chris Hunichen. Surely, many more well-known players will take their cracks at the bracelet as well, so stay tuned to PokerNews to follow the updates.

Among the immediate eliminations were Martin "FuTimReilly" Zamani and Pedro Zagalo. Both players have reentered and have seen opposite fortunes so far: Zamani has already lost a good chunk of his second stack, but Zagalo collected a bounty and has 35K.

After an under-the-gun raise to 750 and a call by Alex "rubbherducky" Difelice, "Pareidolia" made it 3,150 in the small blind. Only Difelice continued to the flop. Pareidolia checked and Difelice bet 1,650. Pareidolia called, only to lead out 7,500 on the
turn. Difelice gave it up.

Mikhail Semin and George Wolff raised each other until they were all in, with Semin at risk for 16,882.

Both held the nuts preflop, but Semin's side cards were a bit better, and they came into play as the board ran , giving him trips. He fired a "sorry" emoji into the chat and they played on.

Already one of the chip leaders in the early going thanks to several eliminations, "Holidaywer" just got more. They picked off a 14K bluff from "YoungJoven" with just aces, beating double-suited that only paired its nine and missed a turned gutshot. Then, Holidaywer busted another player and broke the table. They're up to more than 140,000 now and have $875 in their progressive bounty.
At that same table, Matthias Eibinger is seated with more than two starting stacks.
