Event #18: $1,000 No-Limit Hold'em 8-Handed Turbo DeepStack
Jour 1 a débuté
Get ready for another turbo Saturday as $1,000 No-Limit Hold’em 8-Handed Turbo DeepStack of the 2020 Online World Series of Poker kicks off today at 3 p.m. PDT.
Since this is a turbo event, the blinds will be 8-minutes and with it being a deepstack tournament, the $1,000 buy-in gives players 40,000 chips to play with.
The tournament allows players to re-enter two times with each re-entry lasting only 30 seconds, so players will need to make sure they have enough funds in their WSOP.com account before the tournament starts if they plan on re-entering.
Late registration and the re-entry option will be open for the first 2 hours and 15 minutes of play. Tournament tickets are not usable for re-entry.
This is a single day event meaning the entire tournament will be played out online and the winner will take home a WSOP Gold Bracelet.
Last night, in Event #17: $777 No-Limit Hold'em, it was Pat "IchiiKawawa" Lyons who toppled a field of 1,528 entrants, earning a WSOP gold bracelet and $173,551. The final table included Julian "Julian" Parmann (8th - $16,832), Jonathan "Art.Vandelay" Dokler (4th - $54,948), and Barry "_MLB_" Wenger (3rd - $76,327).
This is the eighteenth of 85 bracelet events being held on WSOP.com (31 events – one each day for the month of July) and GG Poker (holding the remaining 54 events).
The former client will cater to players in Nevada and New Jersey (players in Delaware are NOT able to participate), while the latter will serve the international base.
The first step in getting set up to play on WSOP.com is to download the client. You can do so for both mobile (Android and iOS) and desktop (Windows 7 or higher and Mac OS X 10.6.8).
To get the correct version of the client, use the links below:
As previously mentioned, the online bracelet schedule for the Summer Online WSOP is comprised of 31 events running daily throughout July. THEY ARE ALL ONE-DAY EVENTS.
The scheduled WSOP.com events are available in hold'em and Omaha formats. Popular live staples like the BIG 50 and Senior's Event have been moved online.
The marquee tournament is $1,000 No-Limit Hold'em Championship, which takes place on Friday, July 31. All events will kick off at 3 p.m. PDT.
Satellites are running now for as little $1.

For the first time in the 2020 WSOP online series, Greg "FossilMan" Raymer is in action. The 2004 Main Event champ flew into Vegas yesterday and is ready to compete for his second gold bracelet.
Sixteen years ago, Raymer became a poker household name after he bested a field of 2,576 players to win the World Series of Poker Main Event for $5 million. You might remember him defeating David Williams in heads-up play and competing at a final table that hosted such memorable faces as Josh Arieh and Dan Harrington. The "Singing Dutchman" Marcel Luske bubbled that final table finishing in 10th place for $373,000.
Raymer is looking to continue a hot start to 2020 prior to the pandemic. In January, he topped a 520-entry field to win the Heartland Poker Tour East Chicago $1,650 Main Event for $171,411 and his record fifth HPT title. On top of that, he won some smaller tournaments during a guest appearance at Black Oak Casino Resort in Tuolumne, California.
Raymer, the 2012 HPT Player of the Year, was also a guest on the PokerNews Podcast earlier this year, which you can listen to by clicking here.

With blinds at 30/60, "BabyShark007" opened under the gun for 120 and "ROKBOI" three-bet to 367 next to act.
Action folded around to Michael "myapologies" Hauptman who four-bet to 809 from the big blind and only "ROKBOI" called to see a flop.
Both players checked to the turn where Hauptman who fired out 884 and "ROKBOI" called to see the
complete the board on the river.
Hauptman check-called "ROKBOI's" 1,768 bet and both players tabled their hands.
"ROKBOI" rolled over for a pair of nines but it was no good as Hauptman held
to win the pot.

With blinds at 40/80, "Da5einMD" opened under the gun for 240 and then called Jorden "mookmook" Helstern's 660 three-bet from the small blind to see a flop.
Helstern continued for 1,050 and "Da5einMD" called to the turn.
Helstern fired out 1,750 and the price was too steep as "Da5einMD" mucked their hand.

With the blinds at 80/160, action folded around to Robert "PsychoDuck" March in the hijack and he moved all in for 2,342. Jacob "Bandit275" Powers called from the button, both blinds folded, and the hands were turned up.
Robert "PsychoDuck" March:
Jacob "Bandit275" Powers:
March was ahead but not after the flop gave Powers a pair of kings for the lead. The
turn was no help to March and neither was the
river to send him to the rail early.
