A Larger Field Expected for Day 1f of Event #15: €550 Colossus No-Limit Hold'em
It is the start of the final weekend at the 2019 World Series of Poker Europe and it begins with Day 1f in Event #15: €550 Colossus No-Limit Hold'em. There have been five starting flights completed already with nearly 700 total entries recorded. Compared to the previous flights, today is expected to be quite busier with the first of two flights starting at 12 p.m., the latter beginning at 6 p.m.
While the majority of players will have the goal of grabbing a share of the €1,000,000 guaranteed prizepool, much of the poker world has their interest in the WSOP Player of the Year race. This is the final tournament with points up for grabs and all of the contenders will be looking to run up a stack for Day 2. None of the contenders have confirmed their spots in the Day 2 field as of yet so the likes of Daniel Negreanu, Robert Campbell, Shaun Deeb, and now possibly Anthony Zinno and Dario Sammartino should be expected today.

Each player will begin with a starting stack of 25,000 chips with the blinds beginning at 100/100 and a 100 big blind ante. The levels will be 30 minutes in length with a 15-minute break after every four levels. A total of 18 levels will be played in each of the starting flights as players make their way into the money. A player may cash in multiple flights but may only bring one stack into Day 2.

Zijthof Doubles Up Early

Remco Verbakel opened to 200 in early position and was called by Maria Zijthof on the button. Philippe Culot three-bet to 900 in the small blind and both Verbakel and Zijthof called. The flop fell 
and Culot started with a check. Verbakel bet 1,500, Zijthof called and Culot check-raised to 3,500. Verbakel folded but Zijthof still called.
The turn was the 
and Culot flicked in a bet of 5,000. Zijthof called and the 
landed on the river. Culot bet 10,000 this time and Zijthof moved all in for 13,200 which Culot called. Zijthof tabled 
for the nut flush while Culot held 
for a set of aces.

Queens Full for Lundager

Campbell and Segal in the Field

Socolan Doubles Through Joergensen

There was a raise to 200 and Jan Joergensen made it 400 in the cutoff. Alexei Socolan four-bet to 3,400 in the small blind and the action folded back to Joergensen who shipped all in. Socolan quickly called off his stack of 10,600 and the cards were face up.

Kaldaron Flushes Out on the River

Yaniv Kaldaron raised to 200 in the hijack and was called by Tamir Segal on the button. Omar Azar re-raised to 800 in the big blind and both Kaldaron and Segal called. The flop came 
and Azar led out for 700. Kaldaron and Segal both called again.
The turn was the and Azar fired out another bet of 1,500. Kaldaron still called and Segal stepped aside. The landed on the river and Azar checked this time. Kaldaron splashed in a bet of 3,000 and Azar looked him up. Kaldaron flipped over for a flush and Azar mucked.
