Gottlieb Calls With King-High, Runs Into Set

Niveau 18 : Blinds 4,000/8,000, 8,000 ante

In a blind versus blind hand against Gonzalo Gottlieb and Vytautas Semaska, Gottlieb checked on the flop of {10-Hearts}{q-Clubs}{2-Diamonds} with over 100,000 already in the middle. Semaska bet 30,000 and Gottlieb called.

The turn brought the {7-Clubs} and Gottlieb again checked. Semaska checked back. Gottlieb checked a third time on the {5-Hearts} river and Semaska announced "all in" for 121,000. Gottlieb gave it some thought and called with his opponent covered.

Semaska showed a monster with {q-Spades}{q-Hearts} for top set, while Gottlieb was forced to reveal {k-Diamonds}{9-Clubs} for just king-high.
