Nguyen On a Comeback

Niveau 17 : 2,000/4,000, 500 ante
Scotty Nguyen
Scotty Nguyen

Scotty Nguyen has just gone from 8,300 chips to 60,000 in a matter of minutes after coming out on top in two battles with John Drohan.

In the first hand, Nguyen was all in for two big blinds and got called by Drohan.

Scotty Nguyen: {a-Spades}{3-Hearts}
John Drohan: {k-Diamonds}{8-Diamonds}

Board: {a-Diamonds}{a-Clubs}{3-Diamonds}{5-Spades}{7-Hearts}

Nguyen flopped the nuts to secure a vital double, and just a couple of hands later it was to be the same outcome against the same opponent.

Nguyen shoved for 26,700 and Drohan three-bet to 60,000. The rest of the table folded and the cards were turned on their backs.

Scotty Nguyen: {a-Clubs}{j-Clubs}
John Drohan: {9-Hearts}{9-Diamonds}

Board: {j-Diamonds}{k-Spades}{7-Diamonds}{3-Hearts}{4-Diamonds}

The flop helped Nguyen take the lead with a pair of jacks, and he once again held to perform quite the comeback.
