Spurlin Applies Pressure

Niveau 18 : 4,000/8,000, 0 ante
Jordan Spurlin
Jordan Spurlin

Jordan Spurlin has chipped up some more after winning a pot against Jesse David.

The flop was out with {4-Diamonds}{10-Clubs}{3-Hearts} and David bet 62,000 only to face a check-raise to 168,000. A call would commit most of his stack and after spending a minute or so thinking about it, he folded and Spurlin added some more to his already hefty stack.

Amer Obliterating

Niveau 18 : 4,000/8,000, 0 ante

Abdul Amer's {k-Clubs}{k-Hearts}{5-Clubs}{2-Hearts} was showing on a board of {3-Hearts}{9-Clubs}{7-Hearts}{6-Clubs}{4-Spades} as the table realized he had the scoop after his opponent Jose Paz-Gutierrez had apparently missed a plethora of outs holding aces as well as a nut flush draw. Gutierrez stood there in disbelief that the remainder of his chips were being swallowed up by the enormous stack of Amer before finally walking away in stunned silence.

Seidel Doubles

Erik Seidel
Erik Seidel

The action folded to Bjorn Verbakel who opened to 28,000 on the cutoff and Erik Seidel called on the button. The blinds folded and it was heads up to the flop.

On the {k-Diamonds}{j-Diamonds}{2-Spades} board, Verbakel bet 58,000 and then called the rest when Seidel moved all in. The turn and river brought {q-Clubs} and {9-Diamonds} and the dealer swept Verbakel's cards into the muck when Seidel showed {a-Diamonds}{4-Diamonds}{4-Clubs}{3-Clubs} which gave him the ace-high flush. Seidel doubled whilst Verbakel is left with fumes.

Zinno Challenging

Niveau 18 : 4,000/8,000, 0 ante
Anthony Zinno
Anthony Zinno

Anthony Zinno is up near the top of the counts. Most recently he won chips in a pot against David Prociak.

The board was complete with {6-Hearts}{j-Hearts}{3-Spades}{4-Diamonds}{10-Hearts} on display and Prociak was facing a bet of 10,000. He took some time before making the call but mucked upon seeing Zinno held {a-Spades}{9-Diamonds}{4-Hearts}{2-Hearts}, which gave him a flush for the high hand and ace-deuce for the low.

Seidensticker Takes the Lead After Epic Multi-Way All In

Niveau 17 : 3,000/6,000, 0 ante

Patrick Leonard grabbed the attention of PokerNews as there was a huge hand brewing over at his table. There were already two players all in and another was under pressure to call for his tournament life too. Thankfully, the players and dealer were able to fill in the details of the action up until that point.

Lee Horton had moved all in for 25,000 preflop and was called by Derek Raymond, Todd Witteles and Tim Seidensticker. There were four players in the hand as they went to the flop and it came down {4-Hearts}{j-Spades}{2-Hearts}. Raymond was first to act and moved all in for 94,000, which Witteles called. The action was on Seidensticker and he raised over the top, enough to cover Witteles.

With an extremely tough decision, he went deep, deep into the tank, until Raymond called the clock. Before the time expired, Witteles decided to let it go and all the cards were turned over.

Lee Horton: {a-Clubs}{a-Diamonds}{8-Diamonds}{7-Spades}
Derek Raymond: {a-Spades}{4-Clubs}{3-Diamonds}{2-Clubs}
Tim Seidensticker: {j-Diamonds}{j-Hearts}{k-Clubs}{9-Spades}

Seidensticker had flopped top set and was looking to eliminate two opponents so long as the board held. The turn was the {10-Spades} and the river the {k-Spades}, sending two to the rail and putting Seidensticker in pole position in what is undoubtedly the hand of the tournament so far.
