Trost Goes Deep Into Tank and Finds Call

Niveau 22 : 10,000/20,000, 20,000 ante

With about 150,000 in the pot and a board of {10-Diamonds}{7-Diamonds}{6-Spades}{2-Hearts}{j-Spades}, Mats Ullereng bet 100,000. Craig Trost raised to 275,000, and Ullereng then jammed in his stack.

Trost went deep into the tank and contemplated his decision. After several minutes passed, he ultimately made the call for his tournament life.

Craig Trost: {j-Hearts}{7-Hearts}
Mats Ullereng: {9-Spades}{4-Spades}

Trost was in awe at the bluff and took the pot with two pair. He called Ullereng a sicko for his capability to pull the trigger and said that was a hand he'd have to tell all of his friends about.

That hand got Trost to a nine-to-one chip advantage, and soon after, he had all the chips and secured his spot for the final table tomorrow.

Distenfeld Distances Himself From Field

Niveau 21 : 10,000/15,000, 15,000 ante
Gershon Distenfeld
Gershon Distenfeld

Gershon Distenfeld relayed details of a hand from just before the break that gave him the chip lead.

He raised to 27,000 on the button and Clayton Kalisek defended the big blind.

The rainbow flop was {q-}{8-}{4-} and Kalisek check-raised a 27,000 bet up to 100,000. Distenfeld called.

The {5-} came on the turn and Kalisek jammed. Distenfeld snap-called, which caused his opponent to utter a single word: "S--t".

Clayton Kalisek: {q-}{8-}
Gershon Distenfeld: {4-}{4-}

The flop connected well for both players, but it was Distenfeld with the set. The {j-} completed the board to give Distenfeld the lead at his table and send Kalisek home.
