Lau Cracks Aces With Aces

Niveau 11 : 3,000/5,000, 5,000 ante
Ka Kwan Lau
Ka Kwan Lau

Ka Kwan Lau nearly doubled up in a massive pot where he was all-in preflop for over 550,000 against an opponent who he had covered.

Opponent: {a-Hearts}{a-Diamonds}{j-Hearts}{10-Clubs}
Ka Kwan Lau: {a-Spades}{a-Clubs}{8-Diamonds}{3-Spades}

Both players had aces heading to the flop of {j-Spades}{4-Clubs}{7-Clubs}, which didn't put either player in the lead. The {6-Spades} on the turn gave Lau a flush draw and the {9-Spades} on the river gave him the best hand to eliminate his opponent in one of the biggest pots of the day.

Bujtas and Schwartz Chop Up a Family Pot

Niveau 10 : 2,000/4,000, 4,000 ante
Noah Schwartz
Noah Schwartz

Six players limped into the pot and AP Garza jokingly juked a raise before checking his option in the big blind.

Noah Schwartz in the small blind led out into his six opponents with a bet of 13,000 on the flop of {5-Diamonds}{7-Spades}{2-Clubs} and Garza called. The action folded around to Laszlo Bujtas on the button, who raised to 50,000.

Schwartz announced "pot" for a raise to 195,000 and only Bujtas called. The turn brought the {3-Diamonds} and Schwartz bet the pot again to put himself all-in. Bujtas quickly called.

Noah Schwartz: {9-Clubs}{8-Hearts}{6-Clubs}{4-Clubs}
Laszlo Bujtas: {8-Diamonds}{7-Hearts}{6-Hearts}{4-Hearts}

Both players had flopped wrap draws and turned the same straight. They chopped up what began as a family pot when the {3-Hearts} peeled off on the river.

"That was a big hand," Schwartz told his opponent. "Big hand."

Negreanu Sits Down, Already Short After Doubling Wantman

Niveau 10 : 2,000/4,000, 4,000 ante

Matthew Wantman bet 130,000 on a flop of {k-Hearts}{q-Spades}{6-Diamonds} and Daniel Negreanu raised enough to put him all in. Wantman, with about 20,000 behind, called with {a-Hearts}{q-Hearts}{q-Clubs}{9-Clubs} for a set of queens, while Negreanu showed {a-Clubs}{9-Spades}{6-Spades}{6-Clubs} for a set of sixes.

The turn and river came {10-Clubs}{j-Spades}, improving Wantman to a straight and leaving Negreanu to pay off most of his stack.

Sinn Already Thinking About Second Bullet After Doubling Ochana

Niveau 10 : 2,000/4,000, 4,000 ante

Charles Sinn raised to 40,000 preflop before Eddie Ochana re-raised to 126,000.

"I'm going to have to start thinking about math," Sinn said, throwing in two time bank chips. Sinn eventually re-raised all in and Ochana called for his last 150,000. Sinn tabled {a-Clubs}{j-Diamonds}{9-Clubs}{4-Hearts} but needed to improve against Ochana's {a-Diamonds}{a-Spades}{9-Diamonds}{8-Clubs}.

Sinn didn't get the help he was looking for on the {5-Hearts}{10-Spades}{9-Spades}{5-Diamonds}{q-Hearts} and Ochana doubled up.

"I still have the rebuy so I didn't give a s***," Sinn said while handing over the chips.

"Are you going to play differently on your second bullet," a tablemate asked him.

"I'll definitely play tighter. My VPIP might go to 40 instead of the 60 it is right now," Sinn replied.

Chip Counts as Deeb Considers Last-Longer Bet

Niveau 9 : 1,500/3,000, 3,000 ante

Shaun Deeb told a player at another table that he was at around starting stack and the two considered making a last-longer bet before Deeb declined.

"Your table's a lot better than mine," Deeb yelled across the Amazon Tan section. "There's a lot of old guys over there."
