Von Kriegenbergh Four-Bets

Niveau 1 : 1,000/2,000, 2,000 ante

From the cutoff, Masashi Oya raised to 6,000. Dan Smith three-bet on the button to 21,000. From the small blind, Taylor von Kriegenbergh sat back and thought for a while before announcing a four-bet to 66,000.

Oya checked his cards again before folding and Smith quickly relinquished his hand as well.

Better Kicker for Oya

Niveau 1 : 1,000/2,000, 2,000 ante

In a blind-on-blind battle, action was picked up on a flop of {4-Hearts}{q-Hearts}{8-Spades}. Masashi Oya led for 3,000 and Dan Smith called in the big blind.

The turn was the {6-Spades}. Oya bet 6,000, Smith called. The {8-Diamonds} filled out the board and both players checked it.

Oya tabled the {k-Spades}{4-Diamonds} for fours and eights with a king kicker, which was the difference as Smith flashed the {4-Hearts} but presumably a worse kicker as he mucked the other card.

The tournament begins at 3:00 p.m. local time and is sure to bring out all of the brightest stars in the world of No-Limit Hold'em.

Last year’s version of this event, drew 64 entries to make for a prizepool of $6,192,000. Addamo beat Kevin Rabichow heads up after Sam Soverel had been dispatched in third after holding the chip lead three-handed for a while.
