Yifu He was heading to the exit having gone up against Billy O'Neil for the rest of his chips. O'Neil's was proudly on its back with the board giving him a turned boat.
The table explained how He's aces had been cracked and he was sent to the rail in 23rd place for $18,073.
Phil Hellmuth limped under the gun. Champie Douglas three-bet all in for 195,000. Andrew Kelsall asked Hellmuth how much he was playing before calling.
Hellmuth immediately announced all in and Kelsall called.
Champie Douglas:
Phil Hellmuth:
Andrew Kelsall:
The board gave Kelsall a flush, eliminating both Douglas and Hellmuth.
"You beat me in every hand this year AJ," Hellmuth said to Kelsall. "But boy I trapped you, that was beautiful!"
Sean Winter raised to 100,000 from early position and action folded to the big blind where Martin Jacobson three-bet to 200,000 to put him all in and Winter snap called.
Sean Winter:
Martin Jacobson:
The board ran out and Winter was unable to find an ace to survive and he exited the tournament area.
Liv Boeree shoved from under the gun for 157,000. It folded to Martin Kabrhel in the cutoff who...well, he was being Martin Kabrhel.
"I think this is it," he said to Boeree. "I think this is the hand."
He deliberated for a while longer and got to his feet, before a player at another table called the clock on him.
The floor ruled that a player was unable to call the clock on another table, and there was a brief discussion between Igor Kurganov and the floor. Kurganov then apologized for interrupting the hand.
"I'll let you get back to your thinking," Kurganov said. "Your fake thinking."
Eventually the clock was called on Kabrhel who received a 15-second countdown. The clock hit zero moments before Kabrhel's chips hit the middle, but his hand was declared dead.
"I had jacks," said Kabrhel, with the tournament just five eliminations away from the money.
