Starostin Wins a Big Pot Early

Niveau 1 : Blinds 100/200, 200 ante

On a three-handed table, the small blind player called and Ivan Starostin checked his option from the big blind and the players headed to a flop of 383.

The small blind led with a bet of 700. Starostin called and the dealer burned and turned the 10,

The big blind player continued his aggression by tossing out a bet of 1,500 before watching as Starostin made the call, prompting the dealer to put the J out on the river.

The big blind quickly tossed out a single 5,000 chip and Starostin wasted little time before making the call and tabling before hearing his opponent say, "I think you've got me."

Starostin tabled the 34 causing his opponent to quickly muck, awarding the pot to Starostin.

After significant action there was an all in pot being scooped by Aleks Dimitrov and his opponent exiting the tournament area. Pokernews caught up with Aleks to get a quick rundown of the hand where he scored a double.

Dimitrov told us that here was an early position open and three-bet before he four-bet. There was then a five-bet rip from the original raiser and the three-bettor folded jacks face up. Dimitrov called and the cards hit their backs.

Original raiser: Ax9x
Aleks Dimitrov: AK

The board ran out AQQ63 and Dimitrov scored a huge double up in Level 1 of play.

Action folded to Bin Weng in the cutoff who opened to 700. A player next to act on the button then put in the the three bet to 2,100. Fabrice Bigot was in the small blind and put in the cold four bet to 7,000. Weng got out of the way but the button player made the call. The players were off to a flop heads up.

The 723 flop landed and Bigot took a moment before putting out a bet of 4,000. There was some thought from the button player but ultimately there was no resistance as he released his hand and Bigot scooped a nice pot early on day one.
