"Well, jacks have been hot," Tiller admitted as the dealer spread the flop of 10♣9♥6♠.

"That's not a very good card," James sighed as Tiller improved to a set of kings, but the river came the Q♠ to give him a straight on the river to win the pot.

"He hit the gutshot? Unbelievable," Tiller shook his head as the pot was pushed to James for a double-up.

Juanda Tries To Trap With Quads

Juanda checked again and Negreanu pondered for a moment before checking back.

"Okay, I give up, your king is good," said Negreanu just before Juanda tabled A♦10♦ for quad aces to score the pot.

On the latest PokerNews Podcast episode, Chad Holloway and Jesse Fullen continue The Chad & Jesse Poker Show straight from the 2023 World Series of Poker (WSOP).

In the penultimate show of the summer, Chad & Jesse welcome two guests to the show starting with Josh Arieh, who has won two bracelets this summer and was nominated for the Poker Hall of Fame. Arieh talked about the WSOP back in the late 1990s, his career resurgence, Poker Stake, and shares a fun story involving Ted Forrest and the late Layne Flack.

The other guest is 2004 WSOP Main Event runner-up David Williams, who was fresh of winning a Flip & Go. He talks about his history in that event, how his WSOP gold bracelet and diamond toothpick were stolen in a home robbery, and why he wouldn’t do Master Chef again.

Chad and Jesse then do a new "Calling the Clock" segment in which they offer quick two-minute dialogues for topics on “The Board.”

It folded around to Patrick Leonard on the button who made the call and the two went heads-up to the turn J♥.

Alosh then lead-jammed for the rest of his stack and before a proper count could be made, Leonard made the call to put him at risk.

Juanda Makes Trips To Score Pot

With 3,500 in the middle on a board showing A♣9♠7♣10♣, John Juanda under the gun, the middle position player and the cutoff all checked to Dario Sammartino on the button who bet 2,700. Only Juanda made the call and the A♥ hit the river.

Juanda quickly checked, and after some thought, Sammartino checked back. Juanda tabled A♦K♣ for trip aces and took down the pot when Sammartino mucked.

"I had pocket kings," said the middle position player who folded on the turn.

"You should have raised preflop, we could have got it in and I would've got lucky," replied Juanda while he collected the pot.

Nakanishi Scores Double Up

Robert James under the gun, Shota Nakanishi next to act and Chris Brewer in the cutoff all checked to Dylan Weisman on the button who fired out 800. Only James and Nakanishi made the call and the 10♣ hit the turn.

James checked again and Nakanishi took the lead with a bet of 3,800, which only Weisman called. The 6♦ completed the board and Nakanishi moved all in for 11,400. Weisman asked for a count, but eventually tossed in a chip for the call.

Nakanishi tabled K♦Q♠ for the nut-straight and Weisman flashed A♥9♠ before sending his cards to the muck.

Meanwhile, Justin Bonomo sat down with a fresh stack of 20,000 and two add on chips to use when needed.
