Scooper for Ahmed

Niveau 8 : 600/1,200, 100 ante

A player with three to a low bet into Owais Ahmed on fifth street, and he raised with a better three-low. A third player cold-called, and the initial bettor called.

Bettor: {x-}{x-}/{3-Clubs}{a-Hearts}{8-Hearts}{8-Diamonds}
Ahmed: {x-}{x-}/{7-Spades}{5-Clubs}{2-Diamonds}{a-Diamonds}
Third player: {x-}{x-}/{7-Clubs}{5-Hearts}{9-Spades}{8-Clubs}

Ahmed bet sixth street, and the player with the four-straight raised. The third player sighed and folded after about a minute, winging his cards to the muck with some force. Ahmed raised again and his remaining opponent called. On the end, Ahmed bet and got called. His opponent announced a straight, but Ahmed had {3-Diamonds}{7-Diamonds}{j-Diamonds} for a flush and a seven-low.

Madsen and Zewin Eliminate a Player

Niveau 8 : 600/1,200, 100 ante
Jeff Madsen (as seen in a previous event)
Jeff Madsen (as seen in a previous event)

Jeff Madsen and Don Zewin took part in a four-way pot that was later reduced to three players. Madsen was the aggressive player, with {A-Diamonds} open on third street, followed by {10-Spades}. Zewin had ace too. The third player ended up all in in the fifth street, with an all-heart all-low board.

All-in player: {X-}{X-} / {8-Hearts}{7-Hearts}{4-Hearts}{J-Clubs}
Jeff Madsen: {X-}{X-} / {A-Diamonds}{10-Spades}{9-Hearts}{2-Clubs}
Don Zewin: {X-}{X-} / {A-Spades}{5-Diamonds}{Q-Hearts}{Q-Diamonds}

But the all-in player eventually couldn't catch up for winning either high or low part of the pot. He showed {A-Hearts}{K-Diamonds}{3-Diamonds} for just ace-high and eight-low, but Zewin had him beat with {2-Spades}{4-Clubs}{7-Spades} for a seven-low. Madsen turned up {J-Diamonds}{J-Spades}{10-Diamonds} for two pair, jacks and tens to earn the high half of the pot.

Madsen and Zewin chopped their opponent's chips, sending him to the rail. Madsen is among the chip leaders but Zewin still hopes to win a significant pot as he needs to double up his belongings to match the tournament average.

Shack-Harris Has the Boat

Niveau 8 : 600/1,200, 100 ante

Brandon Shack-Harris had the nut two pair on his board when we got to his table and was betting into two opponents. Only the first one stuck around to see seventh street.

Shack-Harris: {x-}{x-}/{a-Diamonds}{k-Diamonds}{k-Hearts}{a-Hearts}/{x-}
Opponent: {x-}{x-}/{8-Clubs}{9-Diamonds}{k-Spades}{6-Clubs}/{x-}

Shack-Harris' opponent bet on the end when Shack-Harris checked, and the two-time bracelet winner raised. His opponent splashed in a call, and Shack-Harris revealed {a-Spades}{q-Spades}{6-Diamonds} for aces full.

Urbanovich Donates

Niveau 8 : 600/1,200, 100 ante

Dzmitry Urbanovich and his right-hand opponent faced off when Urbanovich's rival completed with the {5-Spades} and Urbanovich called with the {8-Diamonds}. Everyone else at the stacked table (including Justin Bonomo, Jonathan Duhamel and Mikhail Semin) folded, leaving the pot heads-up.

Urbanovich paired his eights on fourth street and led out immediately, earning a cal. He slowed down on fifth street, seeing three wheel cards on his opponent's board. The momentum shifted and Urbanovich was now check-calling. That was also the case for sixth street.

And Urbanovich eventually check-called again on seventh, after pausing for a while and then throwing in the chips, saying: "Donation."

Dzmitry Urbanovich: {X-}{X-} / {8-Diamonds}{8-Hearts}{4-Hearts}{6-Spades}
Opponent: {X-}{X-} / {5-Spades}{2-Diamonds}{A-Clubs}{2-Spades}

Urbanovich's opponent rolled over {4-Clubs}{2-Clubs}{9-Diamonds} for trip deuces, but he didn't make an eligible low. Urbanovich, however, didn't complete the low either and had to concede the pot.

Kessler Wins a Big One With a Boat

Niveau 8 : 600/1,200, 100 ante
Allen Kessler (as seen in a previous event)
Allen Kessler (as seen in a previous event)

Four players were involved in a pot on third street, and Allen Kessler noted that there was already more than a starting stack in the middle.

All four players remained in the contest even after fourth street, which saw a player with two low cards bet to receive three calls.

Kessler himself paired fours on fifth street and took the betting lead. One player laid down but another raised but both remaining players came along for two bets.

Kessler hit his third low card on sixth street, and he led out again but neither of his rivals wanted to back off. One of them called of for his remaining 300 chips (a quarter of the bet) and the other called to continue for the side pot.

Seventh street brought another lead from Kessler, and his active opponent eventually mucked.

Allen Kessler: {X-}{X-} / {4-Clubs}{8-Spades}{4-Spades}{2-Spades}
All-in player: {X-}{X-} / {2-Hearts}{Q-Spades}{A-Clubs}{6-Diamonds}
Third player: {X-}{X-} / {6-Spades}{3-Hearts}{Q-Diamonds}{10-Diamonds} (folded on the seventh street)

Kessler announced, "A Boat", turning up his {8-Clubs}{4-Clubs}{J-Hearts} hole cards. The all-in player declared, "No low," signalling his departure and Kessler's scoop.

Iacofano Over Ross

Niveau 7 : 500/1,000, 100 ante

Mike Ross called bets from Kevin Iacofano on fifth, sixth and seventh streets as Iacofano picked up four to a straight.

Ross: {x-}{x-}/{2-Clubs}{j-Spades}{3-Hearts}{5-Clubs}
Iacofano: {x-}{x-}/{7-Hearts}{6-Clubs}{10-Diamonds}{8-Clubs}

Iacofano's last bet got called, and he showed {9-Spades}{9-Hearts}{a-Spades} for a straight.
