Robert Schulz
Robert Schulz

Ricardo Chauriye opened to 28,000 from the hijack and Robert Schulz moved all-in for 177,000 in the cutoff. The action folded back to Chauriye and he made the call.

Schulz: {a-Diamonds}{k-Diamonds}
Chauriye: {a-Clubs}{q-Clubs}

The flop came {j-Clubs}{9-Hearts}{5-Hearts} and Schulz was still out front with his ace-king. The {4-Clubs} on the turn gave Chauriye a flush draw but the {10-Diamonds} on the river was no help. Schulz held on to double through.

Bendik and Cohen Bust to Set Up Last Three Tables

Niveau 21 : 6,000/12,000, 2,000 ante
Tal Cohen
Tal Cohen

Jan Bendik had disappeared and Viliyan Petleshkov as well as Ali Sameeian confirmed what happened. Bendik looked at just one card and shoved for 54,000, and Petleshkov called, as did Sameeian. Both checked down an ace-high board and Petleshkov showed {K-Hearts}{Q-Hearts}, which Sameeian had beat with ace-ten for top pair.

Bendik turned over one king, so he needed an ace as second card to remain in ... and his second card was another king to bust Bendik.

Right after, Scott Stewart raised to 24,000 and Tal Shemon Cohen moved all in for 106,000. Peter Bstieler in the small blind reshoved for 109,000 and Stewart folded after some consideration.

Tal Shemon Cohen: {A-Spades}{9-Diamonds}
Peter Bstieler: {K-Diamonds}{K-Spades}

The board came {K-Hearts}{9-Clubs}{2-Clubs}{5-Clubs}{7-Spades} and Cohen busted to reduce the field to the last 27. There will be a short break to redraw for the last three tables.

Win One, Lose One

Niveau 21 : 6,000/12,000, 2,000 ante

On a flop reading {j-Hearts}{9-Clubs}{6-Clubs}, Sergio Fernandez led out for 28,000 from the small blind. Dominik Arnold called from middle position and the {8-Spades} landed on the turn. Fernandez fired another 63,000 and Arnold announced all-in. Fernandez quickly folded and Arnold stacked up chips to nearly 600,000.

In the next hand, Arnold opened to 36,000 from the hijack and Valentin Vornicu called from the cutoff. The flop fell {q-Hearts}{10-Spades}{9-Diamonds} and both players checked to the {3-Clubs} on the turn. Arnold checked again and Vornicu bet 45,000. Arnold made the call and the {2-Hearts} completed the board.

Arnold checked for the third time and Vornicu pushed forward a bet of 150,000. Arnold tossed in a chip to call and Vornicu turned over {10-Hearts}{10-Clubs} for a set of tens. Arnold's cards went to the muck and he was right back to where he started.

Czichowski Takes from Zisimopoulos Again

Niveau 21 : 6,000/12,000, 2,000 ante

Pawel Czichowski won a big three-bet pot against Georgios Zisimopoulos without showdown to build his stack while the Greek dropped to just over half a million. Right after, Ali Sameeian raised to 28,000 from the button and folded to the shove of Walter Treccarichi for 192,000 in total.

Over on table 84, Robert Schulz had table neighbor Scott Stewart all in and at risk for half of his remaining stack. It was a flip with the {6-Spades}{6-Clubs} for Schulz and the {K-Clubs}{J-Diamonds} of Stewart, and the board ran out {A-Clubs}{A-Diamonds}{K-Hearts}{4-Diamonds}{2-Diamonds} to let Stewart double.

Flush Over Flush Setback for Bstieler

Niveau 21 : 6,000/12,000, 2,000 ante

In a battle of the blinds the turn showed {Q-Spades}{J-Hearts}{9-Spades}{K-Spades} and Peter Bstieler bet 30,000, which Robert Schulz called. The {3-Hearts} appeared on the turn and Bstieler bet 100,000 rather quickly. Schulz gave it plenty of consideration and called to see Bstieler turn over {7-Spades}{5-Spades} for a flush.

Schulz had that beat with {8-Spades}{4-Spades} for the slightly superior flush and Bstieler was left speechless.

Gulas Doubles Through Neuville

Niveau 21 : 6,000/12,000, 2,000 ante

Pierre Neuville raised to 28,000 from the cutoff and called the shove of short stack Josef Gulas in the small blind for 101,000.

Josef Gulas: {A-Diamonds}{2-Diamonds}
Pierre Neuville: {A-Clubs}{7-Clubs}

The kicker problem of Gulas turned out to be the savior, as the board came {J-Hearts}{4-Diamonds}{2-Hearts}{4-Spades}{6-Clubs} to let the Czech double.
