Event #35: $1,500 Mixed Omaha
Jour 2 a débuté
Another day of some split-pot poker is on tap with Day 2 of Event #35: $1,500 Mixed Omaha. There will be 226 players returning to the felt to take part in three different variants of Omaha; Limit Omaha Hi-Lo, Pot-Limit Omaha Hi-Lo, and Pot-Limit Big-O.
Peter Neff grabbed the Day 1 chip lead after a strong finish to close out the opening ten levels. Neff bagged himself 91,450 chips but the list of notables hunting him down is endless. Hot on his tails is mixed game specialist, Matt Woodward, who already had himself a final table appearance this summer in the $1,500 H.O.R.S.E. event. Michael Ross also bagged a top five stack with 77,875 chips to return to.
Some other familiar faces to keep an eye out for include WSOP bracelet winners Andrew Barber (58,000), David Bach (34,800), Barry Greenstein (34,050), Carol Fuchs (33,300), and Phil Hellmuth (27,000). There should still be quite a bit of play before the money is reached with just 116 players taking home some cash. A min-cash is worth $2,258 but everyone has their sights set on the first-place prize of $211,781 and the WSOP gold bracelet.
The cards will be in the air at 2:00 p.m. local time with the action resuming on level 11. The blind levels will continue at 60-minute intervals with a 15-minute break after every two levels. There will also be a 60-minute dinner break after the sixth level of the day. Another ten levels are on the schedule with the day wrapping up around 2:00 a.m.

We arrived at the table to find Calen McNeil all in and his tournament life on the line. There was also a massive side pot brewing up between Allen Cunningham and Jonathan Shah. The board read and the action was on Shah who made a pot-sized bet of 17,025. Cunningham thought for a moment and then check-raised all in. Shah quickly called and was the player at risk for around 35,000.
All three hands were tabled with just one card to come. Cunningham held while Shah turned over . McNeil was cheering for one card to scoop the entire pot with . "Give me a nine!" McNeil cheered.
The river was the and Cunningham made the nut flush with the best low hand to scoop the massive side pot. He chopped the main pot with McNeil who had the nut low and Shah headed for the exit doors.
