Santhosh Suvarna opened from the hijack to 50,000. Pieter Aerts reraised from the cutoff to 115,000. The button and blinds folded and Suvarna made the call.
The flop of A♣J♥J♣ was checked around. Suvarna led on the 5♠ turn for 130,000. Aerts made the call. The 6♦ river was knuckled by both players. Suvarna showed Q♣10♣ for a missed straight and missed flush draw. Aerts tabled A♥3♥ for top pair which took him the pot.

Stephen Chidwick raised 50,000 on the button, and Chris Brewer defended the big blind.
The dealer fanned a flop of 5♥4♦4♣, and Brewer check-raised the continuation bet of 30,000 to 90,000. Chidwick called.
The 2♦ fell on the turn, and Brewer continued for 105,000. Chidwick called once again.
When the J♣ landed on the river, Brewer pushed almost all of his chips across the line for a bet of 240,000, leaving just 15,000 behind. Chidwick went deep into the tank and eventually tossed in the call. Brewer rolled over 6♣3♣ for a straight, and Chidwick mucked his hand.
At the other table, Sam Grafton was unfortunate to run his ace-jack into pocket aces preflop, and couldn't pull ahead as he was eliminated from the tourament.

Action folded to Niklas Astedt on the button who opened to 55,000. Santhosh Suvarna reraised all in for around 200,000. His stack had taken a significant hit in the previous hand where he lost with A♦8♠ against Thomas Santerne's A♥9♦ on J♦7♠5♦4♦J♥.
The big blind folded and Astedt made the call.
Santhosh Suvarna: A♣Q♦
Niklas Astedt: K♦7♠
Astedt went ahead on the K♠4♣6♣ flop. Suvarna turned the Q♥ giving him additional outs against Astedt's top pair. Suvarna's exit was confirmed on the 3♣ river and Astedt took a small but meaningful pot.

Pieter Aerts opened 55,000 in the cutoff, and both Markkos Ladev and Sirzat Hissou called in the blinds.
When the 7♦6♦3♣ flop hit the felt, Ladev led for 45,000, and only Hissou called.
The 3♦ fell on the turn, and Ladev fired again, this time for 90,000. Hissou wasted little time pushing his cards toward the middle.

Action was picked up on a flop of 2♣9♠8♠ where Niklas Astedt bet 150,000 from the small blind into a pot of around 530,000. Pieter Aerts made the call from under the gun.
Astedt slowed down on the 2♠ turn, electing to check. Aerts continued to barrel this time for 300,000. Astedt called once again before checking the 8♦ river. Here Aerts fired a bet of 1,000,000. "Lena900" went deep into the tank as to whether to call off most of his stack. He glanced over to Aerts who was statuesque.
He burned a few of his time banks and shuffled his chips in his hands while glancing over at Aerts. A few more time banks go by. Juan Pardo and Daniel Dvoress on the neighboring table glanced over to see what was going on. Astedt committed two more time banks while Aerts hadn't moved a muscle other than to blink.
Ultimately, Astedt mucked his hand, leaving Aerts with a sizeable pot.

Sirzat Hissou raised in the hijack, and Thomas Santerne defended the big blind.
The dealer spread a flop of Q♥9♥4♦, and Santerne check-called a bet of 60,000.
The 6♦ fell on the turn, and Santerne check-raised the bet of 110,000 all in, and Hissou went deep into the tank. After using multiple time banks, Hissou slid some chips forward to call off his 740,000.
Sirzat Hissou: K♣Q♠
Thomas Santerne: Q♣3♦
Both players flopped top pair, but Hissou was in the lead with his king-kicker. The A♦ river changed nothing, sending a full double to Hissou.
