David Stamm opened under the gun to 300. There was a call on the button and from the small blind. The action was then on the big blind who sat in the tank for a moment before putting in a three-bet to 1,600. Stamm thought over his options, got a count from the big blind, and then put in a four-bet to the tune of 4,000.
The button and small blind got out of the way and the big blind put in the rest of the chips for a call.
The Q♠7♦6♣ flop hit the felt and action checked to Stamm who continued the story for 4,400. Although the big blind thought it over, this bet was enough to get him to fold on the flop.
Stamm dragged the pot without showdown and set the tone early on in the day.
