Ostapchenko Bets River Against Alejandro

Lee Alejandro had 800 committed from the hijack and was facing a raise to 3,600 by Andrew Ostapchenko on the button. Alejandro called.

The 96345 board was checked to the river and Alejandro checked. Ostapchenko bet 2,000 and Alejandro thought for some time before he put in the chips.

Ostapchenko showed 106 for a pair of sixes and claimed the pot as his opponent mucked.

They both checked through the 799 flop to the K on the turn. Monahan bet 1,000 for Kaupp to come along to the A on the river.

Monahan continued with a bet of 3,500 for Kaupp to call.

"You've got it," Monahan said before Kaupp showed the A5 for the rivered two pair as Monahan mucked his cards.

Over on one of the other tables, the newest PokerStars Ambassador, Maria Konnikova, has taken her seat.

The dealer spread the K32 flop and Mcleskey continued for 500. Baldwin raised to 1,800, and Mcleskey sent his cards into the muck.

Battistone Doubles Through Soh

Brian Battistone raised to 700 at the end of the previous level and Zong Soh defended his big blind.

The flop came 445, Battistone bet 400 for Soh to raise it up to 2,000. Battistone shoved almost his whole stack over the line, keeping 100 behind. Soh called.

Battistone flicked his last 100 into the pot before the 3 was even dealt on the turn and Soh snap-called.

The flop landed J83 and Alejandro jammed with the covering stack. His opponent had about 14,000 remaining and sent his cards into the muck.
