The action was picked up with the board reading 7♣7♦9♥10♣. James Ringland bet 700 from the hijack with Romas Eidukas calling from the hijack, and Stephen Courage making the call from middle position.
The 3♣ fell on the river and the action was checked to Eidukas, who put out a bet of 2,600. Courage called, but Ringland folded.
Eidukas flipped over a full house with 9♠9♦, which won him the pot as Courage showed Q♣8♣ for a flush.

On one of the first hands of the day, Mary Seery raised to 300 from the cutoff only to be immediately three-bet to 900 by the founder of the International Poker Open, Stephen Mclean. After it folded back to Seery, she called.
Seery checked the 8♦6♥6♦ flop and Mclean continued with a bet of 1,500. Seery took no time at all fold and Mclean dragged in the pot.

Life Outside Poker is a new podcast for PokerNews hosted by Connor Richards that seeks to pull back the curtain on poker players and allow viewers and listeners to get to know them on a personal level.
In the 18th episode, Connor speaks with author and psychologist Maria Konnikova about her family leaving Russia to come to the US, writing her first story in kindergarten, being mentored by Steven Pinker at Harvard, meeting Erik Seidel for the first time and her 2020 bestseller The Biggest Bluff that explored her poker journey.
Konnikova, a PokerStars ambassador, also talked about her research for an upcoming book into cheating in poker and other games, as well as game integrity rule changes implemented at EPT Barcelona that Konnikova said needed to go even further.
"I think what PokerStars has done is amazing. I think you need to go a step further and not have any electronics anywhere on the table," said Konnikova. "Like, I think phones need to be on the floor, in your bag."
"I would actually also ban sunglasses because ... there's so much technology that (that can enable cheating)."
After an impressive turnout of 80 entries for Day 1a, the International Poker Open Main Event continues today with Day 1b. Yesterday's opening flight saw Moldovian player Veaceslav Jumir storm through the field to finish on top of the pack and was one of only two players to break the 300,000 chip barrier.
The €350 buy-in Main Event that is being held at the luxurious Bonnington Dublin Hotel boasts a €250,000 guaranteed prize pool. Today's flight is expected to have a larger field than yesterday, all in the hopes of finding a bag and tag at the end of the night and bringing a healthy stack through to Day 2 which plays out on Sunday, October 27.

The goal is to play through fifteen levels, with late registration closing at the end of Level 9. Reentries are allowed once per flight if necessary.
Blinds will start at 100/100 with no big blind ante, with every subsequent level then including a big blind ante.
