Yong Sends Kenney To The Rail

Niveau 9 : Blinds 3,000/6,000, 6,000 ante
Bryn Kenney
Bryn Kenney

Rob Yong opened to 15,000 from under the gun and Jean Thorel three-bet to 35,000 next to act. It folded to Bryn Kenney on the button who moved all in for 180,000 and Yong isolated by moving all in, covering Thorel, who quickly got out of the way.

Bryn Kenney: {q-Diamonds}{q-Clubs}
Rob Yong: {a-Clubs}{k-Hearts}

It was a classic flip situation, but when the board ran out {a-Diamonds}{k-Diamonds}{8-Diamonds}{7-Hearts}{3-Clubs}, it was the two pair for Yong that scooped the large pot and sent Kenney to the exit.

Mateos Eliminated; Yan Continues to Rise

Niveau 9 : Blinds 3,000/6,000, 6,000 ante
David Yan
David Yan

Soon after the three table redraw, Artur Martirosian raised to 21,000 in the small blind and then folded when David Yan in the big blind made it 58,000 to go.

Rob Yong won a tiny three-way pot after he bet the {a-Diamonds}{9-Hearts}{3-Clubs} flop successfully.

Martirosian then opened to 13,000 in the cutoff and Yan three-bet to 40,000 on the button.

"How much do you have?" Adrian Mateos in the big blind inquired to Martirosian, who revealed his stack size. Mateos jammed for around 120,000 and Martirosian folded, Yan snap-called.

Adrian Mateos: {10-Hearts}{10-Clubs}
David Yan: {k-Clubs}{k-Spades}

The dominated pair found no help on a {j-Hearts}{6-Hearts}{4-Diamonds}{a-Clubs}{4-Hearts} runout and that spelled the end for Mateos.

Smith Felted by Katz

Niveau 10 : Blinds 4,000/8,000, 8,000 ante
Dan Smith
Dan Smith

Just before the blinds went up, Sam Greenwood raised to 13,000 from under the gun and was called by Isaac Haxton and Dan Smith in the big blind.

The {10-Hearts}{8-Spades}{7-Hearts} flop was checked to Haxton and his bet worth 29,000 was called only by Greenwood. They checked down the {7-Diamonds} turn and {4-Diamonds} river as Greenwood held the winning hand in {9-Diamonds}{9-Hearts}.

Cary Katz then opened to 13,000 and Smith three-bet jammed for around 170,000 getting instantly called by Katz with the covering stack.

Dan Smith: {q-Diamonds}{j-Diamonds}
Cary Katz: {a-Spades}{k-Diamonds}

The {a-Diamonds}{k-Clubs}{j-Spades} flop gave Katz the top two pair while Smith had bottom pair with a straight draw. Nothing changed on the {4-Hearts} turn and {5-Diamonds} river to send Smith out of the tournament.

Yan Busts Adams To Extend Lead

Niveau 10 : Blinds 4,000/8,000, 8,000 ante
Timothy Adams
Timothy Adams

In a heads-up pot with roughly 180,000 in the middle on a completed board of {q-Clubs}{10-Diamonds}{7-Spades}{2-Clubs}{3-Diamonds}, Timothy Adams checked from the big blind to David Yan on the button who moved all in, covering the 246,000 remaining for Adams.

After close to two minutes in the tank, Adams tossed in a chip to make the call. Yan quickly tabled {q-Spades}{10-Hearts} for flopped two pair and Adams flashed {q-Diamonds}{4-Spades} before making his way to the exit.

Thorel Leaves Haxton on Fumes

Niveau 10 : Blinds 4,000/8,000, 8,000 ante
Jean-Noel Thorel
Jean-Noel Thorel

Jean-Noel Thorel had won a large pot against Isaac Haxton to leave the latter short, who then three-bet jammed and flashed the {8-Hearts}{8-Clubs}.

The next button raise by Haxton was called by Thorel in the big blind. The duo headed to a {k-Hearts}{j-Spades}{3-Clubs} flop on which Thorel check-called for 11,000. Another check-call on the {j-Hearts} turn then led to the {4-Spades} river and Thorel checked once more.

Haxton double-fist bet 162,000 and Thorel called instantly to get shown the {j-Clubs}{2-Clubs} by Haxton. However, his kicker played as Thorel had the {j-Diamonds}{8-Clubs} and was all smiles, exclaiming "eight" while pointing at the card.

That left Haxton with 4,000 and he called all-in after an open raise to 20,000 by Aleksejs Ponakovs.

Isaac Haxton: {a-Spades}{6-Hearts}
Aleksejs Ponakovs: {a-Diamonds}{10-Clubs}

The {8-Hearts}{3-Hearts}{3-Spades}{4-Hearts}{7-Hearts} board increased Haxton's fumes five-fold for the moment.

No Worre's At All For Thorel

Eric Worre
Eric Worre

After losing a larger portion of his stack, Eric Worre committed 189,000 before the flop and was called by the red-hot running Jean-Noel Thorel. Worre only had 5,000 behind but both already exposed their cards anyways before the {9-Spades}{7-Spades}{3-Spades} flop on which the last of it went into the middle.

Eric Worre: {k-Hearts}{q-Hearts}
Jean-Noel Thorel: {a-Clubs}{q-Spades}

The {10-Diamonds} turn gave Worre a gutshot but the {q-Clubs} river failed to keep the businessman in contention.

Vogelsang Sends Petrangelo To The Exit

Nick Petrangelo
Nick Petrangelo

The action folded to Christoph Vogelsang in the cutoff who opened for 16,000 and Nick Petrangelo moved all in for 112,000 next to act. The blinds got out of the way and Vogelsang quickly called.

Nick Petrangelo: {a-Spades}{2-Spades}
Christoph Vogelsang: {10-Diamonds}{10-Spades}

The board ran out a sweat for the tens of Vogelsang on a {j-Spades}{9-Spades}{3-Hearts}{5-Diamonds}, but when the river fell the {5-Hearts} it was the end of the road for Petrangelo as he exited in 17th place.

Ponakovs On The Hook With a Bluff

Niveau 11 : Blinds 5,000/10,000, 10,000 ante
Chalie Hook
Chalie Hook

Chalie Hook opened to 25,000 from the hijack and only Aleksejs Ponakovs made the call on the button.

The flop came {k-Spades}{10-Diamonds}{5-Clubs} and both players checked to the {7-Clubs} turn. Ponakovs led out for 30,000 and Hook came along to the {4-Hearts} river.

Ponakovs took a moment before announcing a bet of 105,000 and Hook went deep in the tank. After using several time bank cards, Hook tossed in a chip for the call.

Ponakovs tabled {q-Clubs}{j-Diamonds} for a missed straight draw and Hook opened {a-Clubs}{9-Clubs} for the ace-high hero call, taking down the pot.

Martirosian Sends Heath To The Exit

Ben Heath
Ben Heath

After losing most of his stack the hand before, Ben Heath moved all in for 12,000 from under the gun and Artur Martirosian bumped up the action to 32,000 in the cutoff. The rest of the table got out of the way and the cards were shown.

Ben Heath: {10-Spades}{7-Clubs}
Artur Martirosian: {a-Diamonds}{q-Spades}

Heath looked good for a double up when the flop came {10-Diamonds}{8-Spades}{2-Diamonds}, however when the rest of the board ran out {8-Hearts}{a-Hearts} it was the river that sealed the deal for Martirosian to send Heath to the exit.

Hook, Line, and Sinker for Greenwood

Chalie Hook
Chalie Hook

Once the blinds went up, Chalie Hook was down to just over 12 blinds and open-jammed for 152,000. It folded all the way to Sam Greenwood in the big blind who asked for a count and then called.

Chalie Hook: {k-Spades}{j-Clubs}
Sam Greenwood: {6-Spades}{6-Hearts}

The {10-Spades}{6-Clubs}{6-Hearts} flop instantly left Hook drawing dead as the {j-Diamonds} turn and {q-Spades} river didn't matter. Greenwood bumped fists with Jean-Noel Thorel, who had previously hit quad eights against him.
