Ryan Laplante Looking to Add Another Bracelet in the $1,500 H.O.R.S.E Event

There will be 217 players returning to the felt for Day 2 of Event #15: $1,500 H.O.R.S.E. at the Rio All-Suite Hotel and Casino. It will be highlighted by many multi-bracelet winners looking to add to their résumés and capture the first-place prize of $202,787.

Among those already with that coveted piece of jewelry to their name include 14-time winner Phil Hellmuth, Ryan Laplante, Brian Hastings, Scott Clements, Brock Parker, Barry Greenstein, Rep Porter, and Brandon Shack-Harris. Hellmuth had a mediocre Day 1, really unable to build up a stack and will begin Day 2 with 20,100 chips.

The largest stack from that list of bracelet winners is Ryan Laplante who will bring 41,800 chips into Day 2. Laplante previously won his WSOP title in 2016 in the $565 Pot-Limit Omaha event and considers the mixed games one of his specialties. He has over $1.5 million in career tournament earnings and will be looking to add to that over the course of a full schedule this summer.

When the action gets underway at 12:00 p.m. PDT, the blinds will resume at Level 11 with another ten 60-minute levels to be played today. There will be a 15-minute break after every two levels and a 60-minute dinner break after the sixth level. The money bubble is expected to burst before the dinner break with 110 places getting paid and a min-cash being worth $2,254.
