Sabatini Takes from Berkey

Niveau 9 : 1,000/2,000, 2,000 ante

Matt Berkey was in the small blind and saw a flop against Cosimo Sabatini, who was under the gun.

Berkey checked on the flop of {j-Clubs}{2-Spades}{j-Diamonds} and Sabatini checked back. Berkey then fired a bet of 8,000 on the {4-Diamonds} turn and Sabatini called.

The river brought a third jack with the {j-Hearts} and Berkey checked. Sabatini bet 10,000 and Berkey shuffled chips for about a minute before calling.

Sabtaini tabled {q-Spades}{q-Clubs} for jacks full of queens and Berkey tossed his cards to the dealer.

Le Up Against Black Aces

Niveau 9 : 1,000/2,000, 2,000 ante

Max Le was in the cutoff, and bet 4,500 into four players who still had hands to consider. The button made everyone's decision easier by making it 12,000 to continue. Three players folded back to Le, who called to see a flop.

Both players eyed the first three cards carefully {9-Diamonds}{3-Clubs}{2-Clubs}. With a pot of 27,000, Le checked it to the aggressor, who cooly laid down 3 red chips for a bet of 15,000. Once again, Le called.

The {8-Diamonds} came on the turn, and this time It was Le who bet, and he bet it all, another 67,000.

His opponent, who was sizing him up behind very dark sunglasses, threw in a single chip to signify a call.

Button: {a-Clubs}{a-Spades}
Max Le: {9-Hearts}{8-Hearts}

With a pair on the flop, Le only continued to improve when his pair became two pair. The river would pair the board and give the button top two pair, but it was the {9-Spades} to improve Le's holding to a full house.

He more than doubled up, and became one of the largest stacks in the room.

Action was picked up the flop of {j-Hearts}{5-Hearts}{7-Clubs} with James Morgan betting 12,000 on the button after being checked to. His opponent check-raised all in for 133,000 from the big blind. Morgan counted down his 85,000 stack and reluctantly made the call.

James Morgan: {a-Hearts}{j-Clubs}
Opponent: {q-Clubs}{j-Spades}

With much to his surprise he had his opponent dominated with a better kicker.

The turn {2-Spades} and river {5-Clubs} did not improve his opponent and Morgan found a full double-up.

Lindeman Spikes River to Double

Niveau 11 : 2,000/3,000, 3,000 ante

Sam Lindeman shoved his short stack from the button and the small blind re-shoved a bigger stack to get the hand heads-up.

Sam Lindeman: {a-}{q-Diamonds}
Opponent: {a-Diamonds}{10-Clubs}

An ace in the window on the flop of {a-Spades}{j-Diamonds}{3-Hearts} gave the opponent a big lead and things were looking grim for Lindeman as the {10-Diamonds} on the turn gave his opponent two pair. But the river brought the {q-Spades} to improve Lindeman to a set and he secured the double-up.

"I need everything I can get!" Lindeman yelled.
