Lamb Looking to Extend Chip Lead

Ben Lamb has been active after the dinner break, picking up right where he left off prior to the scheduled 60-minute departure by winning back-to-back pots against Brad Ruben and Aaron Kupin.

In the first hand, Ruben raised from early position and Lamb called from the small blind, as did, Kupin in the big blind. Lamb lead right out against both players on a 8♥10♦Q♣ board and was called by Kupin, while Ruben folded.

Lamb continued betting on the 9♣ turn and Kupin Folded.

In the next hand, Lamb called from the small blind and Kupin raised from the big blind, which Lamb called. The dealer put out the 7♣10♣A♥ and Lamb bet, getting Kupin to fold.

Yass would control the action after betting out and being called on all three streets by Chen and Obst, on a board that read A♦10♠8♥7♣J♠.

Yass tabled A♣9♦6♦2♥ for an eighty-seven low and Chen showed A♠K♦10♥9♠ for a straight to the jack.

In a battle of the blinds, James Chen bet the A♣7♠3♠ flop and James Obst came along which led them to the 6♣ on the turn. Obst raised and Chen let go.

Jason Daly then raised from under the gun to get called by Chen, Obst and Luis Velador. On a A♣6♦5♥ flop, only Velador check-called a bet by Daly and checked the A♦ turn. Daly fired another bet and took it down.

James Obst raised and Johannes Becker called out of the big blind to then check-call a bet on the Q♦8♠4♠ flop. The 8♥ turn was checked and Becker bet the J♦ river. Becker bet and Obst reluctantly called as the former announced king-high.

Obst had that beat with the A♦J♥9♠4♦ to win the pot.

In the meanwhile, James Chen had dropped to five and a half blinds but won some back off Luis Velador. Chen check-called the K♦Q♠7♥9♥ turn and the 10♣ river was checked. He exposed the A♥K♣K♠7♠ for a set of kings and that won the pot.

The action started off with a raise by Brad Ruben and Ben Lamb defended out of the big blind. Lamb check-called on the A♣K♥6♠ flop and did so again on the 10♥ turn.

Both checked the 7♣ on the river and Lamb tabled the A♠J♠6♣2♣ for aces and sixes. Ruben had the same high hand with the A♥6♥5♦3♣ but also earned the low.

On the K♥6♦4♠ flop, Lamb and Daly check-called Ruben's continuation bet and the 7♠ fell on the turn. It checked to Ruben who bet once more, and Lamb was the only caller.

They checked the 6♣ on the river and the A♦K♦3♥2♣ of Lamb earned three quarters against the A♣J♣5♠2♥ of Ruben.

Velador Wins Big Multi-Way Pot

Action is heating up here at the unofficial final table where a four-bet, four-way pot occurred between Luis Velador, Ben Lamb, Brad Ruben, and Jason Daly.

The hand started with Lamb raising from early position and Jason Daly three-betting from late position. Brad Ruben put in the four-bet from the small blind and Velador cold called from the big blind. Lamb and Daly also called.

The dealer rolled out Q♣9♠7♥ on the flop and Ruben checked over to Velador who bet into Lamb and Daly. Ruben got out of the way and both Lamb and Daly called.

The turn was the A♣ and the three remaining players checked. They would also check the J♠ river and Velador would scoop the pot with a set of nines, showing 10♥10♦9♥9♣.
