Velador Chips Up Further With Quads

Ben Lamb raised and earned calls from Luis Velador in the small blind as well as Robert Yass in the big blind. On the K♠10♠8♠ flop, the action checked to Lamb and he bet for Velador to call. Both players checked the 8♣ turn and Velador bet the K♣ river. Lamb called and mucked when he was shown the K♥K♦7♣5♥ for quads.

James Obst then opened from the hijack as Velador on the button and Lamb in the big blind called. The trio checked to the J♠J♦9♦10♦ turn, Lamb bet and earned two folds.

Seidel and Obst Take From Chen

Erik Seidel raised it up and was called by James Chen in the big blind. On a 9♣6♠6♥ flop, Chen opted to check-call a bet and the 5♣ turn then saw him lead. Seidel double-checked his cards and raised for Chen to stick around.

They headed to the A♥ river on which Chen slowed down and checked. Seidel bet and that won the pot uncontested.

James Obst then raised and Chen stuck around from the small blind. One half bet on the Q♠6♣5♦ flop and a full bet on the 6♦ turn went into the middle before they checked the 8♦ river. Chen's A♠J♠4♥3♠ won half the low as Obst had A♥9♥8♥3♦ for the same low and a pair of eights.

Becker Gets Value From Quads

Jason Daly raised and called a three-bet by Johannes Becker in the cutoff. That led them to the 10♦7♠5♦ flop on which Daly check-called a bet before doing so again on the 7♦ turn.

The 7♥ on the river brought a set on the board and Daly checked once more. Becker now bet and Daly instantly grinned.

"Ace deuce ten?" he asked but received no reply. Another minute later, Daly called and Becker tabled his A♠A♦7♣6♦ for quads.
