Le Jour 2 du Main Event PokerStars Championship a vu 26 joueurs s'inscrire en dernière minute pour porter l'affluence de la première à Macau à 536 joueurs. Ils étaient 369 au départ de cette deuxième journée de compétition avec encore une petite vingtaine de tricolores toujours dans la course. Après 6 niveaux de 90 minutes, ils ne sont plus que 151 en lice pour se partager le prizepool de 2,6 millions de dollars.
Les joueurs se battent pour un premier prix de 3 millions de dollars de Hong Kong (environ 402 000US$) mais il faut déjà parvenir à encaisser le min-cash de 8000$ américains. La route est encore longue pour succéder à Christian Harder et Kenneth Smaron mais le Thaïlandais Pakani Lisawad semble en bonne position avec 301 000 jetons et le chiplead.
L'Asiatique devance le tricolore Ivan Deyra. Le serial perfeur sur le défunt circuit EPT a monté 275 700 jetons pour se hisser à la deuxième place provisoire. Chuanshu Chen (272,700), Kiryl Radzivonau (243,200) et Fabrice Soulier (243,000 après s'être qualifié sur un satellite live sur place) complètent le Top 5. Le Français Thibaut Blondel n'est pas loin avec un peu plus de 210 000 jetons.

With about 30,000 in the middle on a board, Yowan Lim made a bet of 13,500 from the big blind. The player in the under-the-gun position made the call and the appeared on the turn.
Lim announced "all-in" and his opponent went into the tank. For a while. Lim's all-in was for 55,600, the majority of his opponent's stack. Several minutes went by before a tablemate asked for a clock.

Leo Cheng shipped in his last 16,100 chips and was called by one opponent. Cheng flipped over and was in trouble against . By the time the flop came , he was already out of his chair. When the turn came , he had his backpack on and was turning away. But the river of had players calling to him to sit back down as he collected a double-up.
