Dominguez Chipping Up
Niveau 5
: Blinds 400/800, 800 ante
Fernando Santa Maria opened to 2,000 on the button and saw calls from Alexandre Mantovani in the small blind and Ivan Dominguez in the big blind.
Action checked to Santa Maria on the Q♠3♠8♥ flop, where he continued for 2,000. Mantovani folded while Dominguez made the call.
The 2♠ turn saw Dominguez check again, making another call when Santa Maria fired 5,200. Another check from Dominguez followed the K♥ river, facing a big decision once Santa Maria bet 16,000.
Dominguez made the call, showing 8♦3♦ for two pair. It was good to take down a big pot once Santa Maria mucked. Dominguez collected the following pot as well, building his stack above the 90,000 mark.
