Simpson Rides a Five-Bet to the Chip Lead

Ian Simpson picked up A♠A♦ under the gun and raised to 160,000. Jonas ten Cate then three-bet to 400,000 in early position with K♦7♦ as action folded to Michaelangelo Serra in the big blind. He looked down at A♣K♠ and four-bet to 800,000.
Simpson then moved all in and Ten Cate quickly folded, but Serra burned through a few of his time banks before also folding as Simpson took the big pot without seeing a flop.
With that pot, Simpson has moved atop the chip leaderboard.
