Perez Picks a Bad Time For a Big Bluff as Murciano Assumes the Lead
Niveau 29
: Blinds 100,000/200,000, 200,000 ante
Alvaro Murciano raised to 400,000 on the button with J♦10♦ and Ian Simpson called in the small blind with K♣Q♣, while Angel Perez also defended 7♣2♣.
All three players checked the A♠J♥2♦ flop. Simpson then led out for 450,000 on the 5♦ turn and both opponents called.
The river was the Q♦ to give Murciano a flush and Simpson slowed down and checked. Perez then bet 2,300,000 with his pair of deuces and Murciano moved all for 4,795,000. Simpson and Perez both folded as Murciano took down the massive pot.
