Hands #1-4: Schumacher Chops an All-in

Hand #1: Mike Del Vecchio directly picked up a monster with {Q-Spades}{Q-Diamonds} and raised to 110,000 in the cutoff. Toby Lewis set the tone by three-betting {7-Clubs}{5-Clubs} on the button to 300,000. Del Vecchio four-bet to 750,000 and Lewis snap-folded.

Hand #2: Ben Richardson received a walk.

Hand #3: Johan Schumacher opened to 110,000 from under the gun with {A-Clubs}{10-Clubs}. Lewis found {J-Clubs}{J-Spades} in the hijack and three-bet to 250,000. Espen Solaas had {K-Diamonds}{Q-Diamonds} in the big blind and tank-folded. Schumacher took his time before folding as well.

Hand #4: Solaas open-shoved in the small blind and Schumacher called all in for 825,000 in the big blind.

Espen Solaas: {K-Hearts}{10-Diamonds}

Niveau 27 : 30,000/60,000, 10,000 ante
Johan Schumacher
Johan Schumacher

Hand #25: Action folded around to Espen Solaas in the small blind, who shoved all in. After peeking at his hole cards, Johan Schumacher quickly called all in for 925,000 in the big blind.

Espen Solaas: {7-Diamonds}{5-Diamonds}
Johan Schumacher: {5-Clubs}{5-Spades}

Schumacher was a two-to-one favorite to survive and remained with a 2:1 lead after the {Q-Hearts}{6-Clubs}{9-Diamonds} flop. The {2-Diamonds} on the turn added a backdoor diamond draw for Solaas and the Norwegian got what he needed with the {8-Diamonds} on the river, ending Schumacher's tournament life on the spot.

The 28-year old from Belgium set a new career-high cash with A$235,000 for his seventh-place finish. Schumacher, dressed in the flashy Belgian final table shirt, said his goodbyes and headed to his friends on the rail.
