Kim Au Eliminated in 12th Place (A$120,000); Ross Grammer Eliminated in 11th Place (A$120,000)

Niveau 24 : 15,000/30,000, 5,000 ante
Kim Au
Kim Au

With action on Espen Solaas in the cutoff, he simply flung six T-100,000 chips towards the middle, effectively putting the three short-stacked players behind him to a decision for all their chips. Kim Au was the first after Solaas to act and he called all in for 530,000. Mike Del Vecchio quickly folded.

Ross Grammer looked at his cards in the big blind and let out a faint smile. Despite not being super happy with the situation, he shoved all in for 835,000 and Solaas put the few extra chips in.

Ross Grammer: {A-Spades}{K-Clubs}
Kim Au: {5-Clubs}{5-Spades}
Esper Solaas: {J-Spades}{10-Spades}

The players showed up with nicely spread out hands, with both Au and Grammer at risk. The flop was {Q-Diamonds}{4-Diamonds}{2-Spades}, keeping Au in the lead with his pair of fives. The {6-Clubs} on the turn remained safe for Au, who was close to a triple-up.

The crowd watched in anticipation as the dealer burned and turned the {10-Clubs} on the river. The 'ooooh's resonated through the Crown casino as Solaas had hit his ten to knock out two birds with one stone. Both Au and Grammer made their way to the exit, each of them A$120,000 richer.

Two Quick Hands on the Outer Table

Niveau 24 : 15,000/30,000, 5,000 ante

The two six-handed tables got underway with 16 minutes left in the level and the outer table saw a raise to 65,000 by Ben Richardson. Kahle Burns defended the big blind and check-folded the {A-Clubs}{J-Spades}{8-Clubs} flop to a bet of Richardson.

One hand later, Chen An Lin made it 65,000 to go and Johan Schumacher defended his big blind. On a flop of {A-Clubs}{K-Diamonds}{6-Hearts}, a check by the Belgian triggered the continuation bet of Lin and that's all it took.

Tu Lan Eliminated in 13th Place (A$80,000)

Niveau 24 : 15,000/30,000, 5,000 ante
Tu Lan
Tu Lan

Toby Lewis raised to 60,000 from under the gun holding {A-Spades}{10-Diamonds}. Tu Lan picked up {K-Spades}{K-Hearts} in the small blind and chose to call, getting Mike Del Vecchio with {Q-Diamonds}{J-Clubs} in the big blind in as well.

The all-spade {7-Spades}{3-Spades}{9-Spades} flop proved fireworks. Lan and Del Vecchio checked, Lewis bet 90,000, Lan check-raised to 325,000, Del Vecchio quickly folded, Lewis moved all in and Lan called.

Lewis had twelve outs running on the flop and added six more when the {8-Hearts} rolled off on the turn. Lewis needed a spade, ace, jack or six to knock out Lan and got the {6-Hearts} to do so. The Chinese player finished in 13th place and received A$80,000 for his accomplishment.

A small break will commence as players are being balanced to the final two tables.

Grammer Binks The River to Survive

Niveau 24 : 15,000/30,000, 5,000 ante
Ross Grammer
Ross Grammer

Ross Grammer shipped in the small blind for 325,000 and Aaron Lim called without delay.

Aaron Lim: {a-Spades}{7-Clubs}
Ross Grammer: {k-Clubs}{7-Diamonds}

Grammer was dominated but a hopeful rail called for one time. The {q-Diamonds}{2-Spades}{2-Clubs}{5-Diamonds} gave little hope but a {k-Diamonds} hit the river to keep Grammer in it.

Park Chips Up Further

Niveau 24 : 15,000/30,000, 5,000 ante

Johan Schumacher raised to 70,000 and Chul-Hyon Park defended his big blind before check-calling a bet of 55,000 on the {Q-Diamonds}{5-Diamonds}{4-Spades} flop. On the {2-Clubs} turn, Park the action was checked and Park check-called a bet of 80,000 by Schumacher on the {Q-Hearts} river. Schumacher mucked and Park scooped the pot.

Kahle Burns raised to 65,000 and Park three-bet to 160,000 in the big blind, which Burns called. On the {Q-Spades}{J-Spades}{3-Diamonds} flop, Park bet 120,000 and Burns tapped the table in defeat before sending his cards into the muck.

Lan Four-bet Folds Half His Stack

Niveau 24 : 15,000/30,000, 5,000 ante

Toby Lewis raised to 60,000 on the button with {A-Spades}{2-Diamonds}. Espen Solaas picked up another monster with {K-Clubs}{K-Hearts} in the small blind and three-bet to 250,000. Tu Lan looked at {8-Spades}{8-Diamonds} in the big blind and four-bet to 700,000, leaving himself with 865,000 behind.

Lewis got out of the way and Solaas five-bet shoved after ten seconds. Lan went deep in the tank and despite having half his stack in already, he eventually opted to preserve the rest and folded.
