Yamomoto Hits the River on Mantovani

Niveau 2 : Blinds 400/800, 800 ante
Alexandre Mantovani
Alexandre Mantovani

Alexandre Mantovani and Filipe Yamomoto were heads-up in a three-bet pot with a little over 15,000 in the middle already. The dealer spread the flop of J65 and Mantovani checked to Yamomoto who bet 2,500 on the button. Mantovani check-raised to 8,000 and Yamomoto called.

The 2 on the turn slowed the action as both players checked to the A on the river. Mantovani led out with a bet of 15,000 and Yamomoto deliberated before calling. Mantovani turned over 76 for a pair of sixes but Yamomoto rivered a pair of aces with AQ to scoop the pot.

A couple of interesting things to note, the first 15 players seated to begin the day will be given a restaurant voucher or a bottle of champagne, so be sure to be in your seats early. Also, each player will be given one "rabbit hunting" card and its use will make the dealer open board cards of a finished hand.

The players are ready to jump in the action and the PokerNews team is excited to bring you all of the live updates throughout the event so stay tuned for all of the action from the tournament floor.
