German juggernaut Philipp Gruissem just sat down at a table with Mike McDonald, and the two got involved in a pot right away. From early position, McDonald opened to 9,500. Gruissem called in late position, as did both players in the blinds.
All players checked the flop and turn. On the river, McDonald bet 25,000 and only Gruissem called. McDonald tabled for a rivered broadway straight, but Gruissem held for a full house to scoop up his first pot.
Tom-Aksel Bedell raised to 10,000 and Koray Aldemir called from the cutoff. On the flop of , Bedell checked and Aldemir bet 10,500, which Bedell called.
The same action repeated on the turn with a check by Bedell, a bet of 18,000 by Aldemir and a call. After the river, Bedell then moved all in and Aldemir called. Bedell showed for a set of sixes, while Aldemir's for top pair and top kicker ended up second best. Bedell doubled for 50,000 and earned back some of the chips he previously lost.
