Egues Shoves In the Dark; Gets Counterfeited
Pierre Neuville made it 105,000 to go from the cutoff and both Cristian Egues in the small blind and Michael Kane in the big blind made the call.
Flop came down and when checked to Neuville followed up with a bet of 160,000. Egues had another number in mind and raised to 465,000, Kane quickly folded and after having a piece of cucumber from a nearby tray, Neuville committed the chips.
Even before the dealer burned and turned, Egues had put his remaining 600,000 over the line: "All in without looking at the turn", he said.
The rolled off on the turn, and Neuville stopped his dining to think it through. In the end his cards made the muck, much to the relief of Egues, who showed for the counterfeited two pair.
"I knew the turn would be a bad card for me, that's why I jammed", he explained to the table after the hand.
