Sointula Doubles

Niveau 9 : 3,000/6,000, 1,000 ante

Mikita Badziakouski (hijack) and Jani Sointula (cutoff) got their chips in the middle before the flop. Badziakouski had the worst hand with {2-Spades}{2-Diamonds} but had his neighbor covered by 26,000. Sointula tabled {9-Spades}{9-Diamonds} and doubled his stack on {J-Diamonds}{4-Hearts}{Q-Clubs}{6-Spades}{4-Clubs}.

Mateos Busts Kempe and Rudoy

Niveau 9 : 3,000/6,000, 1,000 ante
Rainer Kempe
Rainer Kempe

The defending EPT Prague Single-Day High Roller champion has been eliminated in a three-way all in that also saw Mikhail Rudoy depart as well. Adrian Mateos opened from the hijack, Rainer Kempe three-bet shoved a short stack on the button and Mikhail Rudoy called all in for his last 12,000 in the big blind. Mateos quickly called as well to put two opponents at risk.

Mikhail Rudoy: {10-Clubs}{5-Diamonds}
Rainer Kempe: {A-Spades}{4-Clubs}
Adrian Mateos: {A-Hearts}{K-Spades}

The board came {A-Clubs}{Q-Spades}{6-Diamonds}{J-Spades}{Q-Hearts} and the kicker played a crucial role to bust Kempe. Rudoy's hopes of a comeback vanished as well.

Not Every Hand is a Preflop All-In

Niveau 9 : 3,000/6,000, 1,000 ante

With a fast structure like this, most pots are all in pre's. Not every pot ends up an all-in though, as just shown over on David Peters' table.

Paul Newey opened the button to 13,000 and small blind David Peters three-bet to 36,000. Big blind Pavel Plesuv cold four-bet to 77,000 and Newey folded. Peters called and check-called 37,000 on {6-Clubs}{K-Hearts}{4-Hearts} as well. Both players then checked the {J-Hearts} on the turn before Peters check-folded to a bet of 88,000 on the {J-Spades} river.

Gabrieli and Helppi Eliminated

Niveau 9 : 3,000/6,000, 1,000 ante
Juha Helppi
Juha Helppi

Ivan Gabrieli was all in for his last 10,000 and Justin Bonomo raised to 15,000 from one seat over. Timothy Adams in the small blind asked for a floor and it was deemed that the minimum raise had to be 16,000. Adams then moved all in and Bonomo asked for a count, folded when it was determined to be for 71,000 total.

Ivan Gabrieli: {A-Diamonds}{Q-Spades}
Timothy Adams: {K-Clubs}{J-Clubs}

The board ran out {9-Clubs}{9-Hearts}{2-Diamonds}{2-Hearts}{K-Hearts} and Gabrieli headed to the rail.

One table over, Juha Helppi busted. Zorlu Er had raised to 13,000, Davidi Kitai called from two seats over and Helppi defended the big blind. On the {Q-Spades}{10-Hearts}{2-Hearts} flop, Helppi checked and Er bet 22,000. Kitai folded, Helppi check-raised all in for 72,000 and Er eventually called.

Juha Helppi: {Q-Diamonds}{3-Diamonds}
Zorlu Er: {A-Hearts}{3-Hearts}

The {A-Clubs} on the turn improved Er to a pair of aces and he then even completed the nut flush thanks to the {J-Hearts} river to bust Helppi.

No Lucky River Possible

Niveau 8 : 2,500/5,000, 500 ante

After doubling up Rainer Kempe, Vojtech Ruzicka was left short and open-shoved for around 65,000 from the cutoff. Konstantin Uspenskiy reshoved from the small blind and Martin Kozlov let go in the big blind.

Vojtech Ruzicka: {K-Spades}{Q-Diamonds}
Konstantin Uspenskiy: {A-Clubs}{J-Clubs}

The board ran out {10-Spades}{9-Clubs}{8-Clubs}{5-Clubs}{6-Hearts} and this time, Ruzicka could not escape on the river because he was already drawing dead on the turn.
