Big blind Martin Kabrhel checked to Isaac Haxton on a board of 
, and after tanking a bit, Haxton checked back. On the 
river, Kabrhel bet just 1,500 into a pot of 7,800, and Haxton responded with a big raise to 19,000. Kabrhel tanked a few minutes and ultimately let his hand go.
First to act, Ali Reza Fatehi opened for 3,500. His neighbor Steffen Sontheimer three-bet to 10,000 before Juha Helppi on his left, cold four-bet to 25,000. Action folded around to Fatehi and he instantly released his cards into the muck. Sontheimer wasn't following his neighbor's lead and called.
Sontheimer checked on 
and called as Helppi bet 28,000. Both players then checked the 
on the turn. The 
completed the board and Sontheimer bet 42,000. Helppi instantly folded.
Nick Petrangelo made it 3,000 to go from the button and Mikita Badziakouski defended his big blind to check the flop of 
. Petrangelo continued for 4,000 and received the call before the 
fell on the turn.
Badziakouski checked for a second time and Petrangelo bet 18,000, the Belarusian called. After the 
river, both players checked and Badziakouski tabled 
for a pair of nines to claim the pot, further adding to his growing stack.
Sergio Aido, Julian Thomas and Konstantin Uspenskiy registered and sat down towards the end of the first level while Steffen Sontheimer had to wait for a new table to open. That was done just a few minutes later and the German, who railed fellow countryman Stefan Schillhabel's victory in yesterday's €10,000 High Roller, received chips as well.

From first position, Alexandros Kolonias opened for 3,000. Over on the button Jean-Noel Thorel three-bet to 6,500 and both blinds released. Kolonias called.
Kolonias check-called 7,500 on the

turn, but conceded defeat when Thorel bet 20,000 on the 
river.
Bertrand "ElkY" Grospellier raised it up to 2,500 and Mikita Badziakouski called in the big blind. On the 
flop, Badziakouski check-called a continuation bet worth 2,800 before checking again the turn. Grospellier fired a second bet worth 6,600 before then folding when Badziakouski check-raised successfully to 23,000.
Action folded to Steve O'Dwyer in the small blind and he limped in. Big blind [Removed:17] checked his option to see a cheap flop.
O'Dwyer, who won this event last year for €746,543, bet 1,500 on 
. Yan was quick to call and called the 3,000 bet his neighbor made on the 
turn as well.
The completed the board and O'Dwyer bet 7,200. Yan instantly tossed in a couple of random chips to call. O'Dwyer mucked, and so did Yan while raking in the chips.

. Action checked to Heath and his continuation bet of 13,500 took down the pot without any further resistance.
Martin Kozlov opened to 2,000 under the gun and got a call from Ali Reza Fatehi before Nariman Yaghmai made it 8,000 to go from the cutoff. Both Kozlov and Fatehi called, seeing a 
flop. Action checked to Yaghmai, who bet just 5,600. Kozlov dropped in a raise to 24,500, which got a quick fold from Fatehi. Yaghmai thought for a couple of minutes before following Fatehi into the muck.
