The Wild Ride Continues

Niveau 18 : 4,000/8,000, 8,000 ante

Tomas Jozonis raised to 18,000 in the cutoff and called the shove of Paul Byrne for 181,000 with the {A-Hearts}{J-Clubs}. Byrne only had {A-Diamonds}{10-Spades} and the board came {J-Diamonds}{7-Diamonds}{2-Clubs}{Q-Hearts}{8-Diamonds}.

Soon after it was Brian Altman that headed to the rail when his check-shove for 95,000 on the {Q-Diamonds}{J-Spades}{5-Spades} flop was called by initial raiser Alexis Fleur.

Brian Altman: {7-Hearts}{5-Diamonds}
Alexis Fleur: {A-Spades}{8-Spades}

The {A-Hearts} turn improved Fleur and the {K-Hearts} river failed to give Altman a life line. Soon after, Pablo Melogno was also felted to make it three in quick succession.

Gary Hasson
Gary Hasson

A short-stacked Gary Hasson moved in with his last 95,000 after Gary Miller had opened and two players had called. Miller isolated to get heads-up with all the extra money involved.

Gary Hasson: {A-Clubs}{J-Diamonds}
Gary Miller: {9-Hearts}{8-Hearts}

Miller flopped the nine he needed to knock Hasson out: {9-Spades}{4-Diamonds}{4-Clubs}{K-Spades}{Q-Hearts}. The Brit stood up and walked over to Hasson to shake his hand.

Peters Pounding on Sissonen

Niveau 18 : 4,000/8,000, 8,000 ante
David Peters
David Peters

Ville Tapio Sissonen raised to 17,000 and David Peters defended his big blind. On the {10-Diamonds}{Q-Diamonds}{10-Spades} flop, Peters checked, Sissonen bet 15,000, Peters check-raised to 47,000 and Sissonen called in position.

The turn was the {K-Hearts} and Peters kept up the aggression, sizing out a bet of 60,000. Once again, Sissonen came along with the call.

On the {7-Diamonds} river, Peters emptied the clip and shoved all in, which was for Sissonen's remaining stack of 165,000. The Fin burned one of his timebank chips before surrendering his hand to the chipleader.

Delayed Double for Koplimaa

Niveau 18 : 4,000/8,000, 8,000 ante

Markku Koplimaa was all in and at risk with the {A-Spades}{K-Spades} and Paxim Panyak looked him up with the inferior {A-Clubs}{Q-Diamonds}. However, the board of {A-Hearts}{7-Clubs}{5-Hearts}{5-Spades}{A-Diamonds} ensured an unlikely split pot.

Right after, Mark Teltscher made it 18,000 to go in the hijack and Sadri Saleh called in the cutoff. Koplimaa moved all in from the button and Teltscher asked for a count. The jam was for 174,000 and Teltscher moved all in for slightly more, Saleh folded instantly.

Markku Koplimaa: {K-Clubs}{K-Hearts}
Mark Teltscher: {J-Hearts}{J-Diamonds}

"Yeah that's good," Teltscher said when he spotted the cards of his opponent, while Koplimaa said "good luck." The board came {A-Spades}{9-Diamonds}{3-Clubs}{8-Spades}{5-Clubs} and Teltscher was left with fumes. One table over, Ali Reza Fatehi had been able to jam up his stack back to six digits.

Being down to just a few big blinds, Mark Teltscher shoved in early position and Maxim Panyak looked him up from the big blind.

Mark Teltscher: {K-Hearts}{J-Clubs}
Maxim Panyak: {8-Diamonds}{7-Clubs}

The camera's swooped in to capture Teltscher's final moments in this tournament as the board ran out {9-Spades}{10-Diamonds}{8-Clubs}{2-Clubs}{A-Diamonds} to pair Panyak up.

"Nice hand, good game," said Teltscher as he made his way to the exit.

Mateos Sends Fatehi to the Rail

Ali Reza Fatehi
Ali Reza Fatehi

With some delay, Adrian Mateos has finished the job he had started after doubling through Ali Reza Fatehi and leaving the businessman from Iran short. Fatehi managed to spin up his two big blinds to 140,000 and just shoved from the cutoff, Mateos looked him up from the button.

Ali Reza Fatehi: {K-Spades}{J-Diamonds}
Adrian Mateos: {8-Spades}{8-Hearts}

Despite pairing his king on the {K-Hearts}{9-Diamonds}{8-Clubs} flop, Fatehi needed runner runner to avoid the elimination. The {Q-Clubs} turn was one of those outs, but a blank {4-Diamonds} on the river sent him to the rail.

Niveau 18 : 4,000/8,000, 8,000 ante

After defending his big blind against a raise by Mark Demirdjian, Markku Koplimaa checked the {9-Diamonds}{4-Diamonds}{4-Spades} flop and called a bet of 22,000 by Demirdjian. The same happened on the {A-Diamonds} turn for 64,000 and Komplimaa also check-called the final bet of 55,000 on the {5-Diamonds} river.

Demirdjian rolled over {K-Diamonds}{10-Diamonds} for the nut flush and raked in the pot.

Miller Puts the Hurt on Sfez

Niveau 18 : 4,000/8,000, 8,000 ante
Eric Sfez
Eric Sfez

Gary Miller isn't afraid to pull out monster bluffs from time to time, as he shown yesterday against Antoine Saout. The hurt was also put on Eric Sfez in the late stage of the day.

On the turn, the board read {4-Hearts}{A-Diamonds}{2-Clubs}{7-Spades} and Sfez bet 32,000. Miller check-raised to 102,000 and Sfez called with relative ease. The river brought the {Q-Hearts} and Miller slid a tower of chips worth 216,000 forwards.

Sfez went extremely deep in the tank and blasted through three of his time extensions. Eventually, he ended up folding.

"Wanna see?," asked Miller and Sfez jumped on the opportunity. Miller casually tabled {5-Hearts}{5-Spades} for just a pair of fives and Sfez claimed to have folded ace-king.
