The dealers have been instructed to shuffle up and deal. The players have been spread out over the tables in the main tournament room, the outer area of the main tournament room, and the upper tournament room. With just over 500 players registered right now, this starting flight promises to be a super busy one.

At 7 p.m. local time, the final starting flight of the €1,100 EPT National will kick off here at Casino Barcelona. The first three starting flights attracted 3,720 entries already which means only another 628 are needed to break last year’s attendance numbers. 2018’s Day 1d attracted 844 players and all available poker tables were used to accommodate the players.
This year’s edition is expected to not be any different as this is the last chance for players to make it to Day 2 and into the money. Players will receive 30,000 in chips and play 20-minute levels throughout the day. A 20-minute break has been scheduled after every six levels and play will continue until 15% of the field is left. Registration will remain open until the start of Level 9 which is at 10 p.m.
Follow along as the PokerNews live reporting team will be covering all the action from the floor as everyone tries to make it to Day 2.
