Winter Over Chan

There was just over 20,000 in the middle when Wai Leong Chan bet 7,000 from the cutoff on the {7-Hearts}{10-Hearts}{8-Clubs} flop. Sean Winter was sitting on the button and made the call.

The turn was the {3-Diamonds}, Chan continued with a bet of 18,000 which Winter called after a few seconds.

The river completed the board on which they both checked. Chan tabled {k-Hearts}{3-Hearts} for the turned pair of treys but was beaten by the {k-Spades}{8-Spades} of Winter who had flopped a pair of eights.

Nick Petrangelo opened to 7,000 from under the gun and Michael Addamo three-bet to 26,000 from the button. Petrangelo called.

The flop came {k-Clubs}{5-Clubs}{j-Diamonds} and Petrangelo check-called 20,000. The turn was the {8-Hearts} and Petrangelo again check-called 75,000.

On the {10-Diamonds} river Addamo checked behind, and Petrangelo showed {j-Hearts}{j-Clubs} for a set and took down the pot, closing in on 700,000 chips.

Wiktor Malinowski still leads with around 820,000 in chips.

Thorel had opened to 6,000 and Carrel three-bet to 25,000. Thorel responded with a shove of around 125,000 which Carrel called with {j-}{j-} while Thorel had {a-}{j-} and got no help from the board.

Ivan Leow bet 46,000 from under the gun and was called by Christoph Vogelsang in the hijack.

The river completed the board with the {3-Hearts}, Leow now checked and Vogelsang took some time before betting 85,000 in the last second. Leow contemplated for a bit and then used a time bank card before reluctantly folding.

The flop came {9-Hearts}{10-Clubs}{2-Hearts}. Foxen checked and Soyza continued for 30,000. Foxen check-raised to 82,000 and Soyza used a time extension before calling.

The turn was the {k-Clubs} and this time it was Foxen using a time extension before moving all in. Soyza snap-called.

Charlie Carrel had bet 22,000 from mid-position which had made Sam Greenwood consider his options for a while. After using a time bank card, Greenwood raised to 91,500 which sent Carrel into the tank.

Carrel kept staring at Greenwood but not getting a response. Carrel asked the dealer how much the raise was for and the dealer confirmed the amount. Carrel kept on tanking: "I think I have it...". Three time bank cards later, Carrel opted to fold.

Stanley Choi was getting to his feet after losing out in a pot against Steve O'Dwyer. The board was being taken down but Choi headed over to Ivan Leow's table to explain to his elimination.

Both players had held {a-}{k-} but O'Dwyer had made a four-card flush to eliminate Choi.

Mateos and Peters Getting Short

Ahadpur Khangah opened to 8,000 and David Peters called. Jean-Noel Thorel three-bet to 30,000 and both players called.

The flop of {6-Diamonds}{j-Hearts}{4-Diamonds} was checked to Thorel who moved all in for 96,500. Both opponents quickly folded.

Meanwhile, Isaac Haxton opened to 6,000 and Adrian Mateos three-bet to 18,000 in the next position. Haxton called and check-called 13,000 on the {6-Clubs}{2-Hearts}{k-Spades} flop.

Both players checked the {8-Diamonds} turn and the river was the {9-Hearts}. Haxton bet 150,000, enough to put Mateos all in for his last 110,000. The Spaniard used up one time extension before folding.
