Gadzhiev Doubles Through Waigel

Niveau 11 : 800/1,600, 1,600 ante

Roman Gadzhiev had 20,000 left in play and he moved all-in from under the gun. It folded round to Ezequiel Waigel who made the call.

Roman Gadzhiev: {j-Clubs}{9-Clubs}
Ezequiel Waigel: {10-Spades}{10-Hearts}

Gadzhiev was the player at risk and he was also the player who needed to hit. He made two pair on the {k-Clubs}{j-Diamonds}{k-Spades} flop . The turn was the {a-Clubs} and the river was the {2-Clubs}, giving Gadzhiev the best hand at showdown and he scooped the pot.

Petrushevskiy in a Difficult Spot

Niveau 11 : 800/1,600, 1,600 ante
Sergey Petrushevskiy
Sergey Petrushevskiy

Sergey Petrushevskiy opened the action, making it 3,500. Only one player called, Igor Romanov, who was sat on his direct left.

The dealer placed {8-Spades}{5-Spades}{5-Hearts} on the flop and both players checked. On the {8-Diamonds} turn, there was another check from Petrushevskiy and Romanov elected to bet this time, putting 6,500 over the line. It was a quick call from Petrushevskiy, with only one card to come.

It was the {10-Hearts} and after a third check, Romanov made it 12,000 to see his cards. Petrushevskiy went into the tank for a minute or so, before deciding that fold was the best option.

Akhmetchanov and Slyusarenko Clash

Niveau 10 : 600/1,200, 1,200 ante

With two big hands, it was no surprise that all the money went in preflop between Sergey Akhmetchanov and Aleksandr Slyusarenko.

Sergey Akhmetchanov: {a-Clubs}{a-Hearts}
Aleksandr Slyusarenko: {j-Clubs}{j-Hearts}

Slyusarenko was the all-in player and he needed to hit a jack to stay in the running. The {6-Diamonds}{7-Spades}{4-Hearts}{k-Clubs}{3-Diamonds} board didn't help and he was eliminated in 48th place.

Egorov and Pilyavskiy Flip

Niveau 9 : 500/1,000, 1,000 ante

All the money went in preflop and Kirill Egorov and Vladimir Pilyavskiy are off to the races and it is the latter who was in for their tournament life.

Kirill Egorov: {a-Spades}{q-Spades}
Vladimir Pilyavskiy: {8-Hearts}{8-Spades}

The {10-Spades}{k-Hearts}{a-Diamonds} flop saw Egorov move into the lead with top pair and a gutshot for broadway. The turn was the {a-Hearts} and only an eight would save Piilavskiy. It wasn't to be with the river coming a {j-Diamonds} and Pilyavskiy is elminated from this flight. Egorov is sat with around average stack now.
