Four to a Flush on the Board

Niveau 23 : 20,000/40,000, 40,000 ante

Rushad Iskandarov has taken the first pot of Level 23. Elvin Sarkarov opened to 80,000 and he defended his big blind.

The flop fell [4sas2] and Iskandarov checked-called a 60,000 bet. An {8-Spades} landed on the turn and both players checked. When a fourth spade, the {9-Spades} hit on the river, Sarkarov check-folded to Iskandarov's 230,000 bet.

"Short Stack Brings Me Luck"

Niveau 23 : 20,000/40,000, 40,000 ante

If Sarkarov has nine lives, he is now down to five more, after winning yet another all in when it was his tournament life on the line.

It began with an open from Sarkarov, who made it 80,000. Rushad Iskandarov three-bet to 240,000 and Sarkarov went all in over the top. Iskandarov called the four-bet and they turned over their cards to reveal they were off to the races.

Elvin Sarkarov: {7-Spades}{7-Clubs}
Rushad Iskandarov: {a-Hearts}{q-Spades}

The board came down with a low-ball {6-Hearts}{9-Hearts}{3-Spades}{5-Hearts}{3-Clubs} and it netted Sarkarov another double. "Short stack brings me luck", said Sharkarov with a smile as he stacked his newly acquired chips.

Big Pot for Iskandarov

Niveau 23 : 20,000/40,000, 40,000 ante

After a lot of small pots exchanging hands, the last one was a biggie. It all began with an open to 80,000 from Rushad Iskandarov, which Elvin Sarkarov called. The flop came down {5-Diamonds}{7-Clubs}{2-Spades} and Sarkarov check-called another 80,000.

On the {10-Spades} river, it got really interesting. Sarkarov checked again and Iskandarov bet 185,000. Sarkarov upped it to 675,000 and after using two time bank cards, Iskandarov went all in for 1,245,000 total. It was another 570,000 for Sarkarov to call and with no time bank cards left, he had only 30 seconds to make his decision. He decided to let it go and Iskandarov is back in the lead, albeit not by much.

It's all over. After more than 3 hours of heads up play, Rushad Iskandarov has won all the chips.

He hit trips with {5-Hearts}{2-Hearts} on a {5-Clubs}{5-Spades}{7-Diamonds} flop and check-called a 125,000 bet from Elvin Sarkarov. The turn was the {k-Spades} and Sarkarov didn't barrel when Iskandarov checked again.

On the {q-Diamonds} river, Iskandarov led for 235,000 and Sarkarov moved all in. Naturally Iskandarov snapped and Sarkarov groaned before showing the bluff with {9-Spades}{2-Diamonds}.

Congratulations go to Sarkarov on being the EPT Sochi 2019 Runner Up. A full recap will be posted shortly.
