Chen Chasing Chip Lead

Niveau 10 : 1,000/2,000, 2,000 ante
Pete Chen
Pete Chen

Pete Chen has been climbing up the ranks in a series of hands that for the most part have been won without showdown. The most recent hand was no exception.

It began when Chen flatted in middle position vs Andrey Kotelnikov's under the gun open. Denis Sapozhnikov called on the button and the three of them headed to the flop.

It fell all diamonds, with {6-Diamonds}{2-Diamonds}{7-Diamonds} on show and Kotelnikov continued with a bet of 7,100. Chen called but Sapozhnikov passed, so they were heads up on the turn. It was the {8-Clubs} and Kotelnikov bet again, making it 16,000 to continue.

Chen made the call and the final card brought a one-card flush possibility with the {4-Diamonds}. Kotelnikov bet a third time, a smaller sizing of 10,000. With the action back on Chen, he pumped it up to a hefty 60,000. Kotelnikov used a time bank card deciding what to do before giving up.
