First Pot to Chidwick

Niveau 1 : 500/1,000, 1,000 ante

Orpen Kisacikoglu raised to 2,500 from under the gun and Stephen Chidwick made it 8,500 to go on the button. The call of Kisacikoglu followed, who then checked the {a-Spades}{a-Diamonds}{5-Diamonds} flop. Chidwick continued for 2,000 to earn a call and the action checked to him once more on the {10-Spades} turn. The second barrel of the Brit was worth 12,000 and Kisacikoglu quickly folded.

Shot Clock and Time Banks are in Play for the High Roller Events

The rescheduled 2021 PokerStars European Poker Tour (EPT) Prague festival is in full swing and produced a record number in the €1,100 Eureka Main Event. Within the first few days, the series also ran two High Roller competitions and the most expensive one to date is to follow as of 12.30 local time at the King's Casino in Prague.

In the first €25,000 Single-Day High Roller, some of the biggest names of the high stakes live poker scene are expected to lock horns at the tables. PokerStars ambassador Sam Grafton took down the Spadie trophy after emerging victorious in the opening €10,200 Bounty High Roller after defeating a field of 57 entries. Chris Brewer took down the second €10,200 High Roller for €155,830 after Niklas Astedt had to settle for the runner-up spot once more.

This trio and many more notables are expected to take part in the next six figure buy-in as well. Whether or not that also applies to King's Casino owner Leon Tsoukernik and Tony G remains to be seen. However, both have already confirmed the attendance for the upcoming €50,000 EPT Super High Roller, which runs from March 9 to 11.

All players in the €25,000 Single-Day High Roller I receive 100,000 in chips and the levels last 30 minutes each throughout the entire tournament. The event will feature a 30 second shot clock and participants receive additional time bank extensions based on when they enter the fray. Unlimited re-entries are allowed during the first ten levels and the late registration will close at the start of level 11 at approximately 6.45 pm local time.

The PokerNews team will be on the floor to provide as many key hands as possible until a winner has been crowned. Further marquee events during the entire festival are also covered such as the record-breaking Eureka Main Event, and the upcoming €5,300 EPT Main Event.
