Beresford Bets Out Mateos; Farrell Four-Bets

Niveau 21 : 8,000/16,000, 16,000 ante

Action was on the flop that read {3-Clubs}{10-Clubs}{9-Spades}. From the button Conor Beresford bet 120,000 and Adrian Mateos called in the hijack,

The turn was the {q-Clubs}. Beresford came with another bet, this time for 180,000. Mateos folded after a few moments to relinquish some of his chips.

At table 3, Andreas Berggren raised to 32,000 from middle position. Andriy Lyubovetskiy three-bet to 96,000 from the hijack. Niall Farrell came over the top with a four-bet jam from the cutoff. Berggren quickly folded while Lyubovetskiy thought for about 20 seconds before also tossing his cards into the muck.

Duran First Out the Door, Lofberg Joins Chip Leaders

Niveau 21 : 8,000/16,000, 16,000 ante

Simon Lofberg raised in middle position to 32,000 and was three-bet to 90,000 by Ferhat Duran.

Lofberg called then checked a flop of {k-Clubs}{q-Diamonds}{3-Clubs}. Duran continued for another 80,000. Lofberg called.

The {9-Diamonds} fell on the turn, and after Lofberg checked again, Duran moved all in for a little under 400,000.

Lofberg instantly called, and he had it, showing {j-Diamonds}{10-Diamonds}.

Duran flashed his {a-Clubs}{k-Hearts} which was drawing dead and just tossed it into the muck. He'll collect €25,760 for his 23rd place finish.

With the win, Lofberg crosses the one million chip mark and is now among the chip leaders with 22 players remaining.

Cowen Turns Pair to Double

Niveau 21 : 8,000/16,000, 16,000 ante

Ferhat Duran raised to 35,000 from the button. Robert Cowen jammed and Duran called.

Robert Cowen: {k-Hearts}{j-Diamonds}
Ferhat Duran: {a-Spades}{8-Hearts}

Cowen would need to come from behind to stay alive. The flop came {6-Clubs}{9-Hearts}{6-Hearts} for no help. But the turn was the {j-Clubs} to pair the jack. The river was the {7-Diamonds} to confirm the double for Cowen.

Among the other 22 runners in the chase for EPT glory are Conor Beresford (958,000) and Mike Watson (883,000) who made strong charges on Day 2 to vault themselves into the top five of the chip counts. Niall Farrell finds himself in the middle of the pack with 512,000 chips after dragging some key pots late on Tuesday.
