Pirault Folds Out Adams

Niveau 8 : 400/800, 800 ante
Francois Pirault
Francois Pirault

Timothy Adams opened to 1,700 from the cutoff with Francois Pirault and Christophe Malaurie calling from the button and big blind respectively.

The {a-Hearts}{7-Diamonds}{2-Hearts} flop checked through to the {a-Spades} turn. Adams bet 1,600 before Pirault clicked it to 5,000. Malaurie quickly folded and Adams eyed up his opponent before returning his cards to the dealer.

Selouan Felted After He Can't Get a Fold

Niveau 8 : 400/800, 800 ante
Rodrigo Selouan
Rodrigo Selouan

Alexander Glogar raised to 2,000 under the gun and was three-bet by Sunday's €25,000 Single-Day High Roller IV champion, Rodrigo
Selouan to 6,500. Glogar made the call.

The duo saw a flop of {8-Clubs}{8-Diamonds}{q-Hearts} and after Glogar checked, Selouan put out a bet of 4,000. Glogar called.

On the {4-Hearts} turn, Glogar check-called another bet from Selouan, this time for 9,500.

The river brought the {k-Diamonds}, and once more Glogar checked. This time Selouan stacked up his remaining 22,300 chips and moved them all forward. After 30 seconds, Glogar shrugged and called.

Selouan showed {a-Clubs}{3-Clubs} for a triple barrel bluff gone wrong as Glogar then flipped up {9-Hearts}{9-Diamonds}, proudly announcing, "That's how we do it! That's why we're here!"

Kanit Jams With Straight on Board

Niveau 8 : 400/800, 800 ante

Christophe Malaurie opened to 2,100 from under the gun. Mustapha Kanit called from early position and Eros Calderone defended his big blind.

Action checked to Kanit on the {10-Hearts}{8-Spades}{7-Clubs} flop, who bet 3,500. Only Calderone called.

Calderone then check-called a bet of 5,500 on the {9-Clubs} turn.

The {j-Spades} river put a straight on the board and Kanit moved all-in for 28,000. Calderone found the fold within the thirty-second shot clock.

Big Batch of Day 1 Chip Counts

Niveau 8 : 400/800, 800 ante

Pirault Felts Molnar

Niveau 8 : 400/800, 800 ante

With approximately 24,000 in the pot on a river board of {a-Spades}{2-Clubs}{q-Spades}{6-Clubs}{6-Hearts}, Laszlo Molnar faced an all-in bet from Francois Pirault for 23,500.

After a bit of deliberation, Molnar called and was soon out the door.

Pirault showed {q-Hearts}{q-Diamonds} for a full house which had Molnar's {a-Hearts}{j-Clubs} crushed.

With the win, Pirault boosts his stack to near double its starting value.

Felipe Ramos has entered the tournament and has been on a steady climb upward in his early stages.

In a recent pot, after Manuel Fritz raised to 1,600 in middle position and Lukasz Grossmann called in the hijack, Ramos came in with a three-bet on the button to 6,200.

Both his opponents folded and Ramos added a quick 5,200 to his stack including the blinds and antes.

Peters Scoops From Leonard

Niveau 8 : 400/800, 800 ante
Tobias Peters
Tobias Peters

With 7,500 in the pot on an uncompleted board consisting of the {k-Spades}{3-Spades}{2-Hearts}{6-Clubs}. Patrick Leonard check-raised to 12,000 from early position to 12,000 after Tobias Peters had bet 5,000.

Peters made the call from middle position to see the {j-Clubs} river.

Leonard then chucked out a single 1,000 chip.

"1,000?" quizzed Peters. He then chucked in a 1,000 chip himself while saying "Just in case."

Leonard rolled over his {j-Spades}{9-Spades} for a rivered second pair but it was no good as Peters exposed his {a-Clubs}{a-Diamonds} to claim the pot.

Their tablemate, Dominik Nitsche, was a late entry into Day 1 but has seen his chip stack ascend in the right direction.

Kassouf Grills Tuna

Niveau 8 : 400/800, 800 ante
William Kassouf
William Kassouf

William Kassouf is at his talkative best at a tough table that includes former EPT €10,000 winner Akin Tuna who he recently got involved in a pot with.

After Tuna raised to 1,500 in the cutoff, Kassouf three-bet to 4,800. Tuna called to see a flop of {10-Clubs}{2-Clubs}{2-Diamonds}.

Tuna checked and the banter began.

As Kassouf tossed forward a bet of 9,000, Kassouf uttered a version of his famous catch phrase stating, "Nine-thousand high like a boss".

As Tuna considered his options, Kassouf continued at him saying amongst other things, "ace-ten no good".

After a bit of consideration, Tuna folded, and as Kassouf dragged the pot, he turned his attention across the table.

"You learning Ole?", Kassouf playfully said to tablemate Ole Schemion.
