Sitting in the cutoff, Kenny Hallaert faced a 40,000 chip all-in bet on the river from his opponent in the big blind on a board reading {8-Spades}{9-Spades}{4-Clubs}{10-Spades}{8-Diamonds}.

After giving it some brief pause, Hallaert called and turned over {q-Hearts}{j-Clubs} for the queen-high straight. His opponent showed {7-Clubs}{6-Clubs} for the low end of the straight, which hit the muck and sent him out the door, giving Hallaert a sizable pot to move him closer to the chip lead.

A player under the gun raise to 4,000 and a player in middle position called. Christophe Panetti raised to 12,500 from the button and Eros Calderone shoved hist last 57,700 from the small blind.

The big blind got out of the way and the other two callers got out of the way. Panetti thought it over for a moment before he put out a stack of chips to call. Action was heads up and Calderone was at risk.
