which gave the board a flush which kept Merivirta alive with a chop pot.

Across Day 1a and 1b, the tournament has seen a total of 1,534 entries, surpassing the previous best 1,149.
The prize pool stands at €2,945,280 and anyone who makes Day 2 will be in the money.
