Homma Knocked Out by Liudvikevich

Niveau 13 : Blinds 1,000/2,500, 2,500 ante

Kiryl Liudvikevich moved all-in from the button into two shorter stacks and one of them happened to commit the last chips in Sho Homma, who was the player at risk for around 30,000.

Sho Homma: {8-Diamonds}{8-Hearts}
Kiryl Liudvikevich: {a-Spades}{7-Diamonds}

The {a-Diamonds}{q-Spades}{j-Clubs} flop improved Liudvikevich and he held onto the lead on the {2-Clubs} turn as well as the {a-Clubs} river.

Refos Doesn't Fall For Lau's Trap

Niveau 13 : Blinds 1,000/2,500, 2,500 ante

Action picked up on the river in a heads-up pot with about 60,000 in the middle. The board looked like {3-Clubs}{5-Clubs}{4-Hearts}{a-Spades}{a-Diamonds}

From the hijack, Ka Kwan Lau checked the final street. Raoul Refos thought for a while about betting. He even picked up some chips before setting them back down and tapping the table for a check.

Lau showed {a-Clubs}{a-Hearts} for runner-runner quads and Refos laughed, happy that he chose to wave the white flag on the river.

"You even picked up chips!" Lau laughed as he patted Refos on the shoulder. "Good surrender."

With record fields in the €1,100 Eureka Main Event and €2,200 Eureka High Roller, it was not much of a surprise that the flagship tournament of the 2022 PokerStars European Poker Tour Prague festival at the Hilton Hotel Prague also set a record as well.

The tournament drew a record-breaking field of 1,267 entries (from 918 unique players) and beat the previous record attendance of the 2016 edition. Back then, the event was held in a freezeout format and attracted an impressive 1,192 entries.

Only the top 183 finishers will receive a portion of the €6,144,940 prize pool and a massive top prize of €1,054,500 awaits for the eventual champion on Sunday, December 18, 2022. Until then, it is still a long way to go while it seems all but certain that the money bubble will burst on Day 2.

Drake Makes Mateos' Hotline Bling With River Call

Niveau 12 : Blinds 1,000/2,000, 2,000 ante

Action picked up on the flop in a heads-up pot between Adrian Mateos and Ian Drake. The flop showed {j-Clubs}{k-Hearts}{10-Hearts} and 22,000 in the pot.

Drake checked his option in the big blind. Mateos bet 8,000 in position, and Drake made the call.

The turn showed up the {10-Clubs}. Both players checked the paired board.

The river landed the {4-Hearts}. Drake checked for a third time. Mateos thought for about 30 seconds before betting 37,500. Drake flicked in a chip for a call immediately.

Mateos flipped over {3-Hearts}{3-Diamonds}, but that was no good against the {q-Diamonds}{10-Spades} of Drake for trips.
